Super low T, need some advice

Hey guys, just got my bloodworm back with a Serum T level of 123! I'm 29 so I know this is pretty jacked up. My estradiol is 13.8

Any thoughts on if this could be a bad test? Where should I go from here.

Thanks in advance!!

Get retested again first thing in the morning to confirm the result. Also check LH, FSF, Prolactin, CBC and Metabolic panel.

That is a really low number. Anything else in your medical history? Puberty normal? Trauma to head or testicles? Diseases or illnesses? Sleep apnea? Diet? Quality of sleep? Weight and height?

What low T symptoms are you experiencing?

Oh, next time make sure you include reference ranges along with all your labs.

Thanks Megatron,

Puberty normal / except that im 5'8 and my Dad is 6'2 mom is 5'8 Sister is 5'10 . Always figured I just got screwed in the height department
No trauma to head or testes
No Disease or Illness / Except Rhabdomylosis 4 years ago due to dehydration and heat stroke
Dont think i have sleep apnea but i dont sleep well. / was taking xanax to sleep and would sleep like i was in a coma

My levels right now are

Serum Testosterone 123 Range 348-1197
TSH 3.34 Range .45 - 4.5
Estradiol 13.8 Range 7.6 - 42.6

Just went back to the doc today and had them redo the Test and also include Free & Direct T

Get the labs indicated previously. And you should get a full thyroid panel. I forgot about that one. You are starting to approach the hypothyroid range per your TSH which can definitely give you some of those symptoms too.

How tall was the milk man? :-)

AACE has recommended the ranges for TSH to be changed to a max of 3.3 or 3.5 so in that light I'd say its something to definitely look into.

Thanks guys for the recommendations.

Im going to start looking for an endocrinologist to try and get this nailed down.

Any validity to me being worried that my doc taking blood this afternoon at 3:30 to test the rest of my T levels? Everything I read seams that they should be taken in the morning.

Testosterone levels peak upon waking and decline during the day. Try and get blood work as soon as you can after waking up

Androgel - LowTiyel 50mg

I have two boxes of LowTiyel the Abbott registered version of Androgel made in France for sale. It comes in a box of 14 sachets and is very easy to use and travel with. Each box for $89.00 shipped same day USPS.

I am also 29 yrs old and just started on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) 3 weeks ago. It's a good idea to note all the results whenever they do a blood test, I don't know why I didn't before. My urologist said to me my T level was 250 after the first blood test, consecutive tests showed low normal ranges but still low according to urologist considering my symptoms at my age. I agree with the previous post, I would also retest, and in the morning.

Just talked to the doc. Lh & Fth were half the lowest number in the range. On the road don't have the numbers in front of me...

Her thoughts were to put me on synthroid to get the thyroid in check and also inject Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) 3 times per week to see if that will jump start things. Her thoughts were to do that me lose some weight and recheck in 3 months.

Thoughts ?

As Megatron has stated, it is important to post all test results. A restart could work if you are secondary but that is why all the information and lab results are needed.

Megatron has been a valuable source of information for me as well as this site, I have learned a great deal about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and it has allowed me to help my doctor in my treatment.

Synthroid will likely be a waste. You'll likely have better results with Cytomel. Losing weight will def help with natural testosterone production. The Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) will only help you if you're secondary hypogonadal not primary. Sounds like you may be secondary bc of the LH and FSH being low but def put up the results.

Got my levels back

Lh 4.4 range 1.7-8.6
Fsh 3.9 range 1.5-12.4
Free direct 5.5 range 9.3 - 26.5

Unfortunately, you don't appear to be a clear cut case of primary or secondary. Your LH and FSH are in the normal range while you TT is very low. I think you would be labeled secondary by definition.

A restart might help. May be worth exploring with your doc. It would probably be a good idea yo consult with a urologist to make sure all your plumbing is good.

Did you follow up on your thyroid numbers? And have you been able work on improving your sleeping habits?

Plan is to do 1000units 3 times per week of the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and synthroid every day at 50mcg.

The Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) I have now will last a month and have 2 refills. The synthroid is refillable.

Doc wants me to do this for 2 months and redo blood work to see if there is an improvement.

I just hope I'm no blowing money to get to the inevitable of getting put on test. The Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is 250 for 10 injections so hopefully this works...
