Super Squat Workout any success???

Has anyone ever used the Super Squat workout with any success? My schedule right now sucks with my hours and the freakin Baghdad heat, so I was thinking about trying the Super Squat routine for a couple of months, but was wondering if any of the experienced older lifters have had any success with it. I appreciate any input.

never heard of it. post it please. :D

Here is the workout:
Seated press behind the neck 3 x 10
Bench 3 x 10
bent over rowing 2 x 10
standing curl 2 x 10
Squat 1 x 20
pull overs 1 x 20
stiff legged deadlift 1 x 15
pull overs 1 x 20
toe raises 3 x 20
Crunches 1 x 25

That is the routine, the premise is as heavy on every exercise, ensure you workout no more than 3 times a week, and that you increase weight every workout, especially with the squats (increasing atleast 5lbs every workout). THe workout should last no more than 50 minutes which is about all I can take in the damn heat.

PullinBig, how is the weather in NC? I can't wait to get back!

for legs i do 10x10 and rest 90 seconds in between each set. im seein alota results on that. to me it looks like most of your lifts are more for bloodwork, to get a good pump. that looks like a great all body routine, but since your seem like your limited to three times a week. maybe you should increase your sets on your copound lifts. i personally would do 4 sets of bent rows, 4 sets of bench, 4 sets of deads, and 4 on military, maybe go for like 6-8 reps for all those, and you should try the leg routine 10x10 you look like you got a stick up your ass the next few days after that one. i know you said any experienced lifters, but im just tryin got give you my input.

Raleigh's high was around 80 yesterday. A slight breeze and just a few clouds in the sky. It's nice after this past week, when it got near 100, high humidity, and the afternoon thundershowers.

They've got all the equipment so that you can do a full routine over there? And apparently, they have Internet access, too? Damn, war sure if different then it used to be. Don't get me wrong. I know it is hard and dangerous work over there, and hot as hell. I've thought alot about what you said about the place being close to civil war. Hope it works out.

this is the first war we can go out and kill someone, come back and watch a movie, have a full dinner, check our email, go to the gym and take a shower. don't worry, its still shitty. if i was told correctly, arnold donated a bunch of money for the gyms over here, equipment isn't bad at all.

Yes, but we don't have many farms over here. I'm on the other side of Raleigh, near the airport.

Eventually, I plan on convincing you to teach me in person how to lift. I would be a fool to not try and take advantage of you. But that time hasn't come yet, as I am still learning the very basics of lifting and I am still making 'just starting lifting' gains.

damn bro we only 30-45 minutes apart. bring your ass to clayton or louisburg and get a session or two in with me and the boys. i train by myself in louisburg and with the gang in clayton when i go over there. where you train at?

learning the basics is when you need the most help. you can hire me or just work in with me from time to time. either way is fine with me.

now i remeber speaking with you months ago about this. duh........... PLers go figure. strong back weak mind.

Who said powerlifters were not good businessman, lmfoa!!!!!!!!!! :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue: :blue:

I can't wait to retire next year, probably in Raleigh or Wilmington.
I am debating trying the workout, but haven't heard anyone that has tried it. Its hard to get into the gym 5 days a week, especially when its still 95 degrees at 3am when I go to workout.

10x10 i do a weight i can do for 20 reps, since im not gettin enough rest to recuperate i start dieing on the 5th set and then from their i always almost puke. i think high reps is only good for legs. dont get me wrong i have my 4x6 days also i like to switch it up, but the 10x10 is great for legs. not for power butmore for blood work and muscle gain.

I've gotta family to support, but it's only fair that I dig up a few bucks for 'ya. I'm sure we can work something out.

Honestly, I was just doing work at home with my Olympic bar and some bands until recently because I hate gym memberships. Please don't laugh, but I belong to the YMCA of all the places. They probably don't have any respect, but they have a power rack, a box, and everything else that I really need as far as I can tell. My wife spends lots of time over there and I was able to join without any of the contract bullshit.

You're correct of course. You know, that now is the best time to seek help, before I learn things the wrong way. I was just hoping to get to the point where I wouldn't embarrass myself _too_ bad. You big guys can be kind of intimidating you know, even if you don't mean to. I remember back in high school, we weren't very nice to some of the little guys in the weight room. We treated them like Abu Ghraib prisonors, really. But now _I'm_ the little guy.

You don't have a weak mind at all! I mentioned that probably a year ago, under a different alias I think, back before I knew about proper diet or anything. Now I am on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and I eat well, which both have something to do with my increasing my size from 145 lbs to 185 lbs.

Anyway, I'll be contacting you soon. I appreciate the words of encouragement.

Sure would be nice to live in Willington; be a beach bum and a gym rat at the same time. But the jobs are out here in RTP, so that's where I am.

I'm sure 'Baghdad' will look mighty fine on the resume when you get back.

i'll ask again. how much weight you working out with?

and who said you dont gain muscle off of low volume heavy work? you seen my legs?

you gain muscle from both i said, i just feel its easier to gain muscle for legs with higher reps. but thats just my opinion.
