ive been using gaba for a week now with good results. deep sleep all night, no wake-ups. ive also been doing some reading about a test that waas done. group A had x amount gaba while B group had x amount gaba. after many runs at different doses, they found the optimal dose for hgh output was 5g taken at bedtime. the hgh output was 3x to 5x more than average. Im not saying this will work like pinning hgh but for a little extra hgh secretion, and great sleep to boot, i think that makes it into my next post cycle therapy (pct). plus its so damn cheap its at least worth it for agood nights sleep.

any thoughts???

Helps me sleep, but I believe (I have the study somewhere showing 5x boost with 5g useage) the study used GABA injected. I could be wrong, but many of the amino acid tests do inject the substance.

It can be used year round as far as I'm concerned.

mudge, youre right the study i read was with 5g test doses. damn i get pretty scary shortness of breath at only 2 g i wouldnt want to feel what 5g is like.

I get a PGH like effect around 5g, I have done less but dont get the same feelings. I get a weird body sensation that wants to make me lie down, so I take it not too long before bed when I use the stuff.

The study was done with IV injecting. And it took 30g to see any effect on HGH release. Taken orally at that dose, you'll puke and feel like shit. You'll get better results with taking gear.

GABA is an amino acid produced in the brain that acts like a neurotransmitter and helps keep stress related nerve impulses down and stimulates the pituitary gland to create HGH as well. What I mean by "stress related nerve impulses" are feelings of anxiety, sleep deprivation and chronic pain. GABA participates in promoting relaxation, which explains why many well-known anxiety medications--Valium among them--target GABA receptors in the brain. Although, GABA doesn't cause drowsiness - its anti-anxiety effects can elevate the mood which is the reason it's simply easier to sleep when using. Also, GABA's effects seem very similar to those of tranquilizers, in that it is a natural stress-reducer and can help to relieve chronic pain in aggravated injurys and impulses. (Great for pulled or strained muscles and post surgery.) As far as bodybuilding is concerned GABA ups GH production up to 500%, helps shed body fat and is great for Post Cycle Therapy. Which means more gains and less sides when on gear, thats why our pGH products are such big sellers. The main ingredient is a concentration of GABA along with GABOB and acetylglutamine. Great post BTW.

I loved p-gh. I just wish it was cheaper. I used it post-cycle last cycle and kept all my size and strength and shed some fat. I only used it for one month and I'd like to try it for like 6 months but don't have the money right now. Good stuff IMO probably not as good as real GH but I sure as shit don't have that kind of money.

You must have read another study than the one I read, or are perhaps confusing L-Arginine.

Awaken ye old thread! I tossed down some change on GABA today... Will see what good it does for stress relief and during PCT. Others??

I still take GABA but in lower doses, much lower. Supposedly this can cause an excitation problem in some people, one of which is me, hence the lowered dose.

I used GABA, mainly for sleep purposes and the GH response. Can't tell about GH, but the sleep didn't really improve. Had to discontinue due to anxiety attacks; but I am very sensitive to it. I get them from mere coffee. Been so ever since a severe burn-out from work. I am also a non-responder to valium and xanax in terms of stress relief; they do not help and aggrevate the situation upon discontinuing. It just doesn't work for me.

Thoms and Mudge - How is it that a pill that's intended to reduce stress and anxiety do the opposite for you? What are the physical indicators? I've only taken one or two of them thus far, and I almost feel heart palpitations...but it DID help me to fall asleep strangely.

What are the physical indicators?
Slight hearth palpitations, Feeling of discomfort (like being in the sauna but without heat; hard to describe), anxiety flashes.
