those who have over come lagging pecs!

I was having some trouble with this for a while too - my front delts and tri's were growing but my pecs were lagging. I've seen outstanding improvement in my pecs since I started consciously keeping my shoulders back and arching my back on all my presses. Before I was just doing what I had to to move the weight from A to B, now I can feel the squeeze in my chest and my pecs have exploded. Good luck bro some good advice here!

yea ive only recently started really focusing on my technique/form. wish i wouldve done this a long time ago, but what ya gonna do

for one u should stick to a werk out routine for at least 4-6 weeks, for any muscle, but from my experiences once I hit my plateu i switch it up completely,
2 u wann make sure u werk that muscle till its dead, i mean if u can hit da bench 20 reps then feel the burn, go to 25 make sure ur hurting by the time ur done.
i was on a each muscle 2x a week, hit my plat switched it up to one muscle a day. Im growing again, it has nothing to do with juss your pecs, u have to hit every muscle as hard as u can when u buss them weights up.
OH AND DIETTTTTTTT :uzi:

I had a problem with that when i first started out. After talking to a couple peeps I started doing heavy sets. did a few warm up sets and from there it has been 5 sets of 5reps on flat bench and dumb. After that the last two exercises went 10/8/6/4 started out heavy and dropped weight for each set. will do that for a couple of months switch it up for a month and then get right back to it. I have a bench of 560 at 200lbs.

did some reverse grip today on the smith, shit fucked my wrists though

thats one thing a smith machine can do very well.

its on a fixed track so if your joints are in a bad position its not going to be good. your body can't correct the position of the bar or the position of your body (you're pressing agains the bench) and you'll end up with fucked up joints if you're not careful.

i hate smith machines :uzi:

yea might try them again, but free weight this time

reverse flys work the upper back .

very true, but not exactly what balboa is talking about. he is talking about the cable machine. standing. put the small single handle grips on the bottom. which will be one on each side and perform it the same as a standing fly. only catch is u r pulling the weight up with the fly instead of pushing it down with a fly like u would be doing if u did the same exercise but put the handles on top instead of bottom.

i will try its the same as doing regular crossovers put cables all the way down palms in squeeze pecs

I know what you're talkin' about boa - kills the lower pecs. But I don't think reverse fly is the name for it. Haha I always just write 'low->high cable fly' in my log. Don't know what to call it.
