I am trying to reach the goal of 6-7% bodily fat and i am a whopping 16.8.....so i have a lot of ground I wanna cover...well at least about 20lbs of ground

Outside of going on a diet do you guys have any siggestions. I started to do a little bit of cardio. Right now I am up to doing a mile a day and am working myself towards doing 5 miles to try to drop myself down.

What is "a little bit of cardio"? How much are you doing? If you want to get that lean you are going to have to do a lot of it. Diet is the key factor here though. How long have you been training and what does your lifting schdule look like? Hav you used any anabolic steroids before?

Let me clue u in. U're gonna have to do a hell of a lot more then 1 mile a day. Or even 5 for that matter. Weight train 3 days a wk. Do 45min of cardio another 3. DIET. Good luck.

I would walk but not run for your miles. I'd also set smaller goals, because its going to take you awhile to get down that low, a long ass while unless you have a completely and I mean completely shitty diet right now.

absolutely pointless to get to your "ideal" bf unless its for a specific reason like a BB show or something else..you most likely will NOT be able to maintain that level..

do you really think some dumb twunt is gonna take out some calipers and measure your BF before she sucks your dick??? i understand wanting to be lean i see it all the time all the little twirps in my gym wearing wife beaters get up off the bench after benching 185x3 and pull their shirts up to look at their abs ..

my point is i dont think you really need to get below 8-10%..a true 8-10% done by hydro testing not the calipers..to look really really good on the beach or in the gym with a wife beater on :)

If I might ask, why walk rather than run? I have observed that few fat people run but many fat people walk.

FAST walk for 45min or so keeping the heart rate up. It helps burn fat.

I am doing one mile to start off with so I dont kill myself but I would like to get up to an hour of cardio....
.....my training scheduele

day 1 biceps & back
day 2 triceps & chest
day 3 shoulders & abs
day 4 quads & calves
day 5 abs & back
day 6 rest
day 7 rest

I have been lifting for almost a year now. I change around my routine every couple weeks to avoid becoming to repetitve.....I have never used any anabolic steriods. All I have taken is a couple different creatine monohydrates and whey protein isolates

Agree 100%. I think 10% bf is excellent for normal "good looking" purposes (and better if you have 20 inch arms!).

You want to keep your heart rate at the optimal level or else if it goes to high your body will switch from using fat as an energy source to beginning to use muscle, etc. If you run you will almost certainly go higher than is acceptable, 60-80% Maximal heart rate.
