Training without weights.?

Just summit I pondered for a bit. can you challenge your body enough to make good gains by using bodyweight as the only resistance?

In this case whats your fav resistant exercises/routines without machines or freeweights?

Do you think you can you hit every bodypart without weights, machines or bands.

Thoughts?
 
Someone that has never exercised might be able to make a small change.

Gotta lift heavy to build muscle.
 
Thats my first initial respons but what if you control the pace of reps e.g push ups focus on negatives, rest pause techniques.

If your still feeling the burn and eating well you should be able to gain dont you think?
 
crossfit is popular for getting in good shape and looking good but you're not going to get big, some people use weights in the system though
 
Its very possible to obtain excellent strength gains and muscle hardness & leaness but as already mentioned I don't think it will net MUCH gains in mass or LBM. Probably some just depending on the person, routine, diet, etc..
Pull ups, dips, push ups, sit ups, etc.. are all in my routine and work very well.
