I use a glass rod. Animal used to sell them. You don't really need to crush them, it just goes faster that way.

Pellets

I take a straw, staple fold over one end a few times, and staple is shut, then put the pellets in the straw, fold over the open end and hold closed, take a hammer and gently "roll" the hammer back and forth on the straw/pellets crushing them up : ) Release end you are holding close and pour into solution.

I just drop the pellets in the "magic" solution along with a marble and gently shake for 20 minutes. At that point everything is disolved. No need to crush the pellets before hand. However I'm sure it speeds the process.

Neat idea. Yes, they are supposed to disolve in the solution so its a time thing

I've heard of one Bro putting them in a coffee grinder to grind them up then dissolve them.
