Trusting your doc w/roids

The steroid athlete needs particular tests run--ones that almost any doc wouldn't know about unless they train and advise steroid athletes on a regular basis. Swale and myself are excellent sources for blood test info as well as ordering the tests.

As someone said, insurance is an incredible database. Once something goes on their record, it stays. Blood testing, on the other hand, does ask for suggested diagnoses like hypogonadism, anemia, hypothyroidism, but these are only suspected, not definitive. If you want your steroid use and activity kept quiet, do not use your insurance. Still, get your blood tested and use legitimate high quality meds.

Doesn't matter. Once an insurance company pays, they keep a complete record of that payment. It's their nature.

The idea is to protect yourself from any fututre related insurance problems. (dont report it, pay out of pocket) A lot of my friends are older than me and have had a lot of trouble because there is a record of their use by the insurance companies. Blood work is very inexpensive to get done, and any MD can do it, but you dont want to go to your family doc and not tell him you are roiding because the results will come back extremely abnormal in his or her eyes. Thats why its important to have a doctor who has an idea of what normal "elevated" levels are.
FURTHERMORE- AND IM WRITING THIS IN CAPS. THE PEOPLE THAT USE PRO-HORMONES AND LEGAL STEROIDS AS AN EXCUSE WHEN THEY ARE NOT ON THEM, AND GET BLOOD WORK DONE, ARE GIVING THE FDA DOCUMENTED EXCUSES TO MAKE THEM ILLEGAL BECAUSE THE LEVELS WILL BE EXTREME. EVEN THOUGH I THINK ALL OF THIS STUFF IS GOING TO EVENTUALLY BE REGULATED, DONT HELP THEM WHEN IT DOES'NT COST JACK SHIT TO HAVE BLOOD WORK DONE. I ACTULLY BELIEVE THEY WORK. THATS ONE OF THE BIGGEST THINGS THEY ARE USING TO SUPPORT THE BANNING. THATS HOW THEY GOT EPHEDRA. MANIPULATING NUMBERS.

The FDA doesn't need "numbers" to ban anyhting. I would much rather tell my doc that I'm on something legal than illegal to get bloodwork done. If you risk your insurance coverage to support the continued marketing of legal steroids then you're an idiot. This post wouldn't even exist if controlled substances were difficult to get. Ephedra is as easy as ordering form Canada.

My previous point: You can tell your doc you are taking prohormones, AAS, anything related to BB'ing..it won't matter. He will ahve no idea what to do about it. He will have no idea what blood tests are needed by the steroid athlete. He will just sit there. If you do not believe me, go ask him and get a list of blood tests he will order. Then, we can compare the tests he orders with the ones I order for my steroid athletes. My other point: Most steroid users are too cheap to have the tests run. They think that if their insurance doesn't pay, they won't either--they can't afford it. Insurance is a privilege, not an entitlement. Two, you can't afford to use Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) without blood testing. Using without blood testing makes you an abuser. You are just guessing and making moves without the facts. Just read all of the failures posted on this board.

Folks you are blessed with one or two docs here who can help you get the proper blood tests ordered without going through your local doc. Take advantage of them.

Can you go into a random doc's office, say "hey my name is Mr. John Smith and I want these blood tests done please, i don't have insurance but here is the cash"...does that work?

Great point DrJMW. What type of tests do BB's need to ask for, or can you give us a website or info on how to go about getting these tests done?

Here is the current list I use. Swale helped me with this list, so I cannot take all the credit. Getting the tests done: one suggestion, check out www.lef.org. I cannot advertise services on this board--so I cannot get into details.
