Typical time for noticable improvement with TRT?

Most everything I read says testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a lifelong commitment. Obviously though dudes go on long ass steroid cycles and still restart their HPTA. Of course everyone is different, but in general, how long does one need to be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for it to become necessary to remain on forever? I am close to starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but if for whatever reason it isnt working for me I dont want to be administering (and paying for) it indefinitely. If I feel great then of course I wouldnt stop.

Also, upon starting how long should one expect to give it to judge effectiveness? One of the things Im looking for in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is the end to the constant fatigue even when rested and difficulty focusing, which both seem to be gradually getting worse with age. I dont want to just say hell with it before I give it a proper chance. So if using test C then what, 5 weeks? 10 weeks? 20 weeks? More? Less?

Well, it took me about 8 weeks to feel better on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), but that was after many months spent doing the wrong protocol by doctors who didn't monitor my SHBG or estrogen levels - lots of headache and misinformation. My SHBG was 55. I don't know any doctor other than the one Chip works with that even knows how to drop SHBG. Actually I know of one but I had to drive like 14 hours to see him and he charged me an insane amount of money compared to maximus Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I would recommend if you do this, you do it right, because it is very easy for your estrogen to get out of control and get stuck in a position where your doc isn't willing or doesn't know how to help you. Testosterone alone would not get rid of my fatigue. In the end you'll save lots of time and money with Chip, though if you don't believe me feel free to try otherwise. Docs just simply don't prescribe the right compounds to properly manage a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) patient, which is why you see fat muscular old men at the gym. It is almost paradoxical that superior medical treatment could be cheaper than inferior medical treatment, but that's just the way it is.

Bottom line is that a testosterone injection alone is not a good indicator for what you should feel like on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Once you get with the right doctor, you won't stop. You can try your doctor's protocol though and we can try and help you with it but it might be a pain in the ass if it even works.

yeah Im looking to get set up with Chip, I think I only need my physical form completed at this point. My big thing is I dont want to get locked into something lifelong that isnt working for me as much as I had hoped, with the problem being elsewhere. That said, I also want to be sure Im letting enough time to pass before I come to conclusions. I just want to make sure I have realistic expectations going into it.

I have used prohormones and SERMs, but I have never tried anything like a test or HCG injection so Im not sure what to expect.

Anyway, thanks for the response

I tried just about everything before going on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). And I mean everything. I tried chinese medicine, taking l-dopa to excite my pituitary's LH production, testosterone supplements, everything. Eventually I just got tired of feeling less than 100%. It got bad though, and I realized how dangerous it actually is to run a low testosterone level. Diabetes, metabolic syndrome, immune dysfunction, poor libido, no strength or gains in the gym, and even poor concentration and digestion can all be from low testosterone. The latter half was in my case. To me testosterone is like a fine wine that only gets better the stronger your body gets (not necessarily physical strength), but the health benefits it has. Just expect to feel young again. There are so many endocrine disruptors/phytoestrogens floating around that more and more people are getting low testosterone whereas before even men in their 60s used to retain higher levels of testosterone than what we are seeing in many young people today.

Again this is just my opinion. I was fatigued all day and I feel better today than I have ever felt in my life.

yeah, my test came back 354 and 236 before I ever tried anything else hormonal (PH, serms). My doc didnt seem to think there was any problem with this, wtf.

Same here, when I first went to my doc my levels were in the 200s and he said oh they are in range, everything looks fine. Then when I asked him why my levels were that of an 80 year old although they were in range and suggested treatment, he agreed. Some are not in the business of treating patients, that's for sure.

As always, i've got so many members of "team maximus" always grabbing my back. I really love all you dudes like brothers and thats why i truly care so much about trying to help. But bro's need to understand.... testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is actually better than any heavy steroid cycle you could ever run. What do you always see these monsters running 3-4 grams a week of shit doing...?.... Eating, training, sleeping.

I'm sorry but that isnt the life i want. Maybe its my own testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dialed in correctly that allows my to practically work round the clock. I don't know. But you are still human. You are gonna have days that you are tired, run down, didnt sleep well, emotionally exhausted. testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doesnt make you super human, but look where the "superhuman" dudes are at... In bed with no nut sack.

I am a newbie to this forum, but so far Chip, man, you crack me the hell up in some of these threads.
@cjw- I couldn't agree with you more!! It's a good thing I am not any slower; I would be making an appointment on Monday at an endo or to see my Dr. to plead with him, as you mentioned, to realize my test levels are that of an 80 yr. old. I'm not going that route because I realized quickly that this is something that needs to be dealt with by individuals that have a level of empathy and knowledge to correctly mitigate the problem.

I am not trying to be a superhuman or anything close to it. Of course, I do love watching Terry Crews cuz that dude is an absolute animal, but more than anything, I want to feel human. I can't be super until I am at least fully human. Like you cjw I am always tired and I don't even have the energy to face the day sometimes. I wake up tired and somehow I get through the day. It's definitely not the WAY I want to get through it or live my life, that's for sure. I barely have the energy to get to the gym, let alone recover from the stress and abuse that I tax on my body from being there. Sheeeit, sometimes it will take up to 7 days for the soreness to leave my legs after Leg Day... Seriously?? I am familiar with DOMS, but that's taking it a little too far!! You know it's sad when you see people on TV or in your personal life doing all of these things, and it just makes you tired thinking about all of the things they are doing...haha
Anyways, I am hoping to get up with Chip and his specialists very soon and get things under control STAT..

Go with Chip. Be careful though because after a month or so your libido will be through the friggin roof. Oh, hey, that's a good thing..... :)

I know after being on this forum and reading alot of responses reguarding Chip, and i myself am thinking seriously about letting Chip help me,ive been with the same Endo for 4 years, and im not satisfied with the results im getting,my endo never checks my Estrogen levels or has ever mentioned using HCG before and has me on a very high test dose,600mg every 10 days, which is to high, and i dont take what he recommends,im going to contact Chip and figure out what i need to do,to get him to help me,even at that dose i was presribed,im still not feeling like i should.....

the reason you feel like hell is that you are on a hormonal roller coaster. Your test injections should be no more than 5 days apart, your hpta is shut down from the lack of hcg and every time that jack off blasts you with 600mgs in one test injection you have enough aromatization taking place at one time, nor have you mentioned any Aromatase inhibitor (AI). I p.m.'d you back. Lets get you on track, refill the sack, toss some willing participant on her back and launch the great mississippi attack!
