i have a injury that has lasted 4yrs. it is in my midtrap about 3" from spine on the left side. any kind of back wrkout will flare it up(most is any type of row) i can lift lite and not hurt it to bad but it has always been there, i orignally hurt it doing flat bench. early on though it was pulled trap, but oh no, not that easy here is the run down of what i have been through;

3 ciro's, 3 general doc's, triggerpoint, 6months therpy, nerve conduction, 5 mri's of neck and shoulder. one mri of shoulder(slight tear in super-spanious) went to a shoulder doc and he said there is no way in hell i have torn cuff.

so iwas back to square one all over again. went to a spine surgen under went ipidurals of the spine, no help. every body seems to know exactly whats wrong and then when i spend thousands of dollars with them, no help, they tell me it will take longer. i have went as long as 9months without any training or activty. the pain will fade without activty but will return in one day of lite training. i'm at the end of my rope here and any help will be very much needed. thankyou

So you have a tear in your super spinatus. Never heard of that, but like everything else, from what I know, dont use it until it is 100% healed. If it can not heal on its own, you will nedd sergury to attach it, and then it will heal.

Why has it taken 4 years? Must be worse than it sounds.

the most aggervating pain, i don't know that i have torn super spinatus, the orto-shoulder doc said there is no way that i have it torn. see this is what I'm up against

Well I though I read that you have a tear shown on an mri. Maybe it is a nerve?

Its not unusual to have a tear which actually doesn't cause much in the way of symptoms. It could easily be that your pain does not come from the tear but from something else.

I am not sure if it's an injury or however you call it, but since my childhood car accident, my lower back, when doing leg raises, pops. it doesn't hurt or irritates the spine/tendon/muscle...just annoying to hear it. it's been more than 16 years and it never left.

when you've torn a muscle, you cannot move it at all and will have major ass discoloration.

i had a nerve conduction test on it(neg. no nerve pinch). dont really have a clue, seems like i been around the world w/ this.

If you completely tore that muscle, then that might be why it's taking so long to heal. But then again, you should have either a red spot or a bruise on top of the skin where you tore your muscle. If this is the case, surgery is needed and you would need to rest that muscle for like 3-4 months minimum. If it's not a complete muscle tear then I don't know what to say.

well i can't find any doc to tell me that it is anything. i would let them cut me open and look if they would do it. thank for all you guys help really like the feed back
