Journal of Clinical Investigation -- Stimulation of Human Prolactin Secretion by Intravenous Infusion of L-Tryptophan
I've been talking with Mr.Humdiddly about this and I think I've nailed down a problem I've been having: Massive amounts of L-Tryptophan.
I have some prolactin induced gyno from a cycle of a designer steroid type Tren.
Anyhow, I've been drinking EAS 100% protein for a while. Mostly because it's $30 for 5lbs at Sams club, and I'm a cheap ass. So I drink about 2-3 shakes a day. Probably anywhere from 2-4g of tryptophan and whatever I'm getting from my diet, which I'm still working on calculating.
I noticed after drinking these shakes, 20 minutes or so, My gyno problem would start to feel swollen or more puffy. And I thought maybe it was just me over-reacting. But it would seem that 20-45 minutes is the exact time it takes Tryptophan to raise prolactin levels by up to 200ng/ml!
I can't hardly believe this.
I didn't notice it when I first started drinking these shakes, but I'm thinking maybe I've been doing it long enough to build up a considerable amount of Tryptophan in my system as I go through about a bag of this stuff a week.
Not to scare anyone, but check your labels I'm just saying to hell with protein shakes and switching to solid food.
Thoughts?
