Weak bench, relatively speaking

I've attempted to address this issue multiple times with others and I still haven't found the solution. Current stats are: Bench 335, Squat 525, Dead 585. Why is my bench so weak in proportion to my squats/deads? What are some training tecniques I can use to spike my bench? Recently I have been adding in extra tri work, using a closer grip bench and not maxing out every week.

body type dictates numbers a lot of time. if you got long arms you gonna have a togher time benching but easier pulling deads. short legs are great for squatting.

your numbers look in line with me. posat your current bench routine and if you have a seperate shoulder day or not. list reps and sets. it may be something as simple as overtraining or a form issue.

Wow you max out EVERY week? Doesn't that shit kill you? I mean it's gotta be hell on your joints, but if you're making progress, all the more power to you. :druggie:
 
Bringing in your arms causes a longer stroke which will reduce your bench. There is only so wide I can go, but if I'm going for a 1RM I go a little wider than normal.
 
maybe you have added too much tricep work..yes tri's are important in the bench but they may be too tired when it is time for you to bench and slowing you down
 
I have a hell of a time putting up big numbers on a bench... Im guessing higth 3's but I weigh 290 ... I can squat mid 5's and dead low 6's.... Its mostly about body type.. My wingspan is actually bigger than I am tall and I'm 6'4 which I would say puts me at a disadvantage...
