Weight Gainer powders after weigh-ins ?

I figure my sport of armwrestling is similar to powerlifting, in that you want to gain as much weight back after weigh-ins......

Well i have a weigh in Thursday at 5PM, and compete on Saturday around 12:00 noon.
After weighins, i will do my typical pedialyte for the first 2 hrs before eating. Then i'll continue with eating small meals every 30min, and attempt 1liter of water per hour. Also soak in a pool a couple of times. (and of course lots of contant calories, carbs, protien, sodium!)

My question is, would it hurt to add in a weight gainer into my regiment? (maybe 2/3 times a day?)
Mine has the following per serving:
700 Calories
270mg sodium
1000mg potassium
115g carbs
50g protien
plus about 12.5 g Glutamine, arginine, and glutamic acid.

Mate, IMHO the time frame is way too short to benefit from loading you with food, you won't gain s***t in 48H, neither muscle nor fat.

I used to compete in boxing / muay thai and what fighters do is to be 4-8 pounds heavier than the category high limit.
Then 48H before weigh-in you loose as much water as you can, it implies diuretics and it is a bit risky and should monitored by your trainer.

So you lose a few pounds of water weight and are just at the limit for the weigh-in. After that you drink like a horse to rehydrate yourself before the fight.
It's a risky trick as if you go to low you won't have enough time to replenish your water stock and will feel like shit on fighting day.
99% of fighters are actually a few pounds heavier than their categoy limit, it's all about being at the right weight on weigh-in day.

Just my 2cts

Right, I understand I won't gain any muscle. This weekend i was around 202. I've been waterloading this week, along with very little sodium and carbs. I woke up about 194lbs today.
My weigh-in will be at 185lbs. I was just trying to get back to 200lbs., all while getting in tons of fluids, carbs, sodium, postassium. I know food/water is the way to go.....just wasted sure how effective a weight gainer would be in giving me that extra weight and energy.
