Im gettnig to the point where i can easily rep stacks for
lat pull down and machine rowes..

i thought i saw some special hooks where u can add some plates
to the stacks...

anyone every heard of these?

im not a big machine user....it would mostlybe for these

Are you a powerlifter? Slow down on the movement, that way you wont use as much weight.

i do as many machine excercises as possible with 1 arm at a time this prevents the stronger arm from doing most of the work AND instantly doubles the weight of the stack . get creative and you can do lots of stuff that way .

At our gym the pins have a lot of slop, extra length, so you can always feed it through the hole on a 45 and still have it engage safely. I figured all the equipment was liike that? Maybe not.

As far as the machine rows....try switching up to bent over free weight rows.

Pulldowns? Maybe changing your grip.

Like DaDawg said, get creative. Try new things to target new areas and increase overall strength.

my old gym had a 'female only' room. it mostly sucked, but there was one machine that i liked. of course, i could do the entire stack cause it was set for women who use pink dumbells. i would get an extra pin and stick an extra 10lb plate or two on there.

You can also add weight with a pin, or slow down on the movement and concentrate on the "feel."

Pulldowns aren't all that and a bag of chips anyway.

true some guys in my gym actually need a spotter for lat pulls? :insane2:

be careful pinning plates that the pin doesnt break

buy some bands. they work great on machines.

or sub movements and use free weights. you aint gonna out grow them.

pull downs: pullups with added wight
seated rows: BORs, t bar rows, etc....

I put dumbells on top of the stack if they fit, i do this when i do weighted ab pulldowns from my knees. I used to pin a 45 to the stack, i did this once doing pullthroughs, forgot i was doing it, let go from the extended position, and the shit went crashing down, and the pin got demollished. I don't use the pins anymore.

i could have swore i saw some guy with special hooks though..

My gym has one, weighs about 10-15 pounds, holds maybe 3 plates - not sure.

I've never broken a pin adding a 45, but I do the lifts relatively slowly.

the gym I go to has like a pin that slots in the pinholes, and the other end of it is thick like an olympic bar so you can put weights on it.
That was a shit house description of it,sorry, but its the best that i can come up with. I need some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
