What do u eat before and after workouts??

2 hours before: Tuna on whole wheat

Right after: Shake 80 carb/ 60 pro

30 grams of oats and a low carb protien shake before. Post 90 grams of oats and a low carbs proteinshake. 1 hour later 60 grams of oat Brand with slenda and two chicken breast.

1hr before arginine and glutamine
30min protien shake with creatine 5g along with banna or oats
right after last set gatorade 32oz glutamine/creatine 5g each
20min after 48g protien shake
1hr turkey sandwich (weat bread/4-6oz turkey) with cup of skim milk

protein before workout (not immediately), preferably chicken.
fast carb immediately after workout, later followed by chicken.

I usually have 2 bananas before
after, i have 60 grams protein shake, 100 carbs
been working good so far.
had a buddy who like taking protein and gatorade after workouts he claimed it worked well 2
i'd think apple juice would be a better choice, but i've never treid gatorade post workout

I think cassein is better to take 1 hour before workout than whey... but i dont have any protein powder so i have mostly been using food....

oatmeal and egg whites pre, or chicken breast and brown rice, or if im really buisy and about to get off work i pack a wheat pb and sugarless jelly sandwhich....

post workout gatorade with my post workout meal of meat and brown rice.

1 hour before - meat\carbs\veggies

30 minutes later whey isolate w\apple

Post workout- waxy maize\oats\honey\whey\raisins

been doing that; seems to work well.

Dirk had a great post in the diet section and i am giving it a shot.

anything preworkout, baagel, sandwich watever.

pwo i hve a shake with dextrose, maltodextrin, protein, and sodium.

it takes me a half hour to finish the pwo shake. then 45-60 min later i have a meal with protein and carbs, trying to avoid all fats. the reasoning behind this is that fat is directly deposited into stores during or after an insulin spike.

and as a note to the people who use gatorade, thats pretty bad in my opinion. fructose is generally not a very good choice as a PWO carbohydrate. it replenishes glycogen in the liver, and does not benefit your body.

I see alot of you guys going with this simple sugar stuff ----Come on get with the times much better options out there. hell whole food is better then that crap.

Dirk has given his opinion on many subjects on this board.

I bet if you do some reasearch on the board, you will come across his opinion on this topic as well as MANY MANY others that would help you out.

.....

You guys need to take a few days and read through old posts in the Diet and Training Forums. Read other peoples questions and the answers given to them by experienced members.

You can learn alot if you sit back and read.

Once do some research on your own you can experience and see what works best for you. There isn't a right way and a wrong way when it comes to BBing. You have to see what works best for you. What works for me might not be what works for Dirk. What works for Dirk might not be the best option for you. That's where research and trail and Error come into play.

I know man I've been around for a while.

I've tried alot of things and know what works well for me.

Was just curious what he has in mind. I'm probably not going to look for it either. :laugh4:
