I have a powerlifting meet on feb 18th. THat is a saterday. I usually bench on Monday's.

1. WHat should I do as far as training in the week leading up to this meet?

2. Weigh in is friday night of Saterday morning. WHat should I do as far as diet in the week leading up to this meet?

3. What do I eat the night before and the morning of?

4. The meet starts at 10am. Whne should I wake up that day?

5. WHat should my warmup consist of.

Sorry about so many questions. THis is my 1st competition.

1) nothing.

2) you gotta make weight?

3) you gotta make weight?

4) in time to eat a big breakfast and be there for rules briefing.

5) same as you do at the gym.

Sounds easy.

WHat do you consider a BIG breakfast?

I don't "need" to make weight.

135x10
135x10
225x5
275x3
315x3
335xopener

I may be able to open with more than that. But I can handel that weight Raw with ease.

you thinking to much if you need to know what a "big breakfast" is. just go lift and have a good time.

thats too many warm ups.

bar x 10 or so
135 x 5
225 x 3
285 x 1
opener.

whats your max bench now?

I probably am thinking too much but I want to do really well. Seriuosly though. How's a big bowl of oatmeal, 4 eggs and some fruit sound? Rules are at 9:30 so I figure i'l get up kind of early to be able to eat and have all the blood flowing by ten. I'm not a morening person.

I need alot of warmup. Other wise the weight feels really heavy to me and hurts as well.

My max bench right now is at least 370 and will probably be higher by the time of the meet. I don't know if I can pause that much raw though.

It "hurts" you? Like it doesn't feel good?

The meet is just around the corner, so just do your thing for now, but after the meet consider steamlining those warmups.

sounds good.

you ben training with a pause for meet conditions?

PB: I've been practicing my pause lifts at the end of my work out. I keeep trying to increase it 5-10 pounds per week.

MRANAK: I've always needed alot of warmup but my endurance with bench is tremendous. And yes, if I don't warmup enough the weight feels extremely heavy and hurt my shoulders. fatugue.

id suggest pausing everything from now on out. you gotta pause it at the meet.
