What Is Your Max Bench?????

hey dawgy got my weight back up to 305. 9lbs in 2 weeks. i like gaining weight. its fun.

i get to eat for 20 mo days then back on the diet. sucks.

ive done nothing but work and eat , im afraid to weigh myself lol . things will slow back down now that the holidays are over .

245x6 is 289 on the maxcalc that is accurate for me, but if you are doing that for set upon set you aren't doing full intensity or you are taking some long long rest periods...?

whatever you're lifting is good. i've been lifting a long time and benching is my best lift. thats also with a bench shirt btw.

I don't max, nor use a reg bench. I do sets with 405 right now on a Smith machine. Don't know what that equates to but I really don't care, as long as I get stronger and bigger....

omg.
you'll get a lot stronger and bigger if you stop using the smith machine and start using a regular bench.

Today I just hit 300 for 1 (I know I'm weak) pretty easy, and tried to jump to the 315 to no avail. I know I could've done at least 305, but I'm an idiot. I'm pretty happy all in all though, I haven't maxed in quite sometime and I know my bench is my weak point. Glad to be in the 300 club (just barely). I'm still unsure of a good warm up, I did 12,10 of 135, then 6 of 185, 3 of 225, and 1 of 275. A guy at the gym told me I should've jumped to 315 from 225, I doubt it would've worked. Suggestions? FWIW I don't arch my back at all.
