you go in for a infection from an injection site??
Really just a random question, i was thinking if this actually happened to me, what should someone tell the doctor how it happened. I read, NEVER tell you take steroids, but is there really a way to deny that you do take them if you go in for an infection. Would be kinda of hard to cover up i think?? am i wrong?

I never lie to my doc, none if his business what I do to myself and he can keep his opinions to himself. Then again, I'm in Canada where taking steroids is not illegal.

Yet another good reason to be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Since my doc knows I inject, it's not a problem for me. Last time I saw her we were talking about the different muscles you could inject into and how many cc's each one could hold. Maybe you could say its a mosquito bite or something.

the doctor has to keep that info confidential or loose his license, just go to a walk in clinic not your primary care guy if your worried

Sorry man but here in the USA that is terrible advice. Never tell your doctor because if it comes down to it the info can and will be used against you. Dr's are not your friends.

This. DO NOT tell your doctor you're on AAS.

"the physician generally should not reveal confidential communications or information without the patient's express consent unless required to disclose the information by law. There are exceptions to the rule, such as where a patient threatens bodily harm to himself or herself or to another person."

I don't think this can be mentioned enough. So I'm bumpin it. Patient - doctor confidentiality doesn't mean jack to the insurance company. I would use the mosquito bite gone bad excuse. Or maybe say you shaved your ass and got an ingrown hair that got infected. It doesn't matter what excuse you use the docs gonna have a good idea what really happened, but they won't say anything. They will just treat the infection.

i disagree about the confidentiality aspect, but never just say you use AAS, unless you're shot, or disclose a crime you're safe, but id just go to another doctor and not my primary care person.

ahh' fuck it say you ran into a nail lol

it would also depend on the dr IMO if he or she is a cool dr i dont think u would have a problem. i have a really cool dr that works with me he doesnt reccommed certain things and he tells me that but then he also say he is here to help me with any concerns. and also i agree with bhrees dr have a certain oath that they take and can not disclose info unless u say ur gonna kill urself or somebody else. with that being said i dont kno if insurance can drop u cause of it but if your dr is cool then they could always put down a diff diagnosis

Insurance companies have full access to the information/doctor's notes when you apply which is one of the main concerns. You could end up screwing yourself down the road when you need to apply.

Say it is a b12 shot OP.
