The Man with the Plan
I was wondering when cardio becomes too much, if my primary aim is weight loss. So I just do regular cardio for a long time periods of time. I cycle for about 2 hours a day, alternating the pace from slow to as fast as I can possibly go.
I work on a computer all day basically and I try to keep active behind my desk. I do sit-ups, dips, wave my arms parallel to me with a couple of weights, and anything that can be done in my desk chair. Afterwards i go out and cycle again for an hour per evening, Would this be helpful in terms of keeping up my metabolism?
is this overtraining?

If your main goal is weight loss ditch the cycle man but that's just my opinion. From experience the fastest and most effective way to lose weight is running at high speeds. Go as fast as you can for as long as you can, you should be drenched in sweat after every cardio session.

You gotta sweat out all the fat, if your not full of sweat your not going hard enough.

Cycling is great for fat loss but your diet needs to be in order or the cycling won't help. I'd say too much cardio is when it becomes counterproductive and brings progress to a standstill or backwards.
