Whey Lowers Blood Pressure

Washington State University researchers have found that whey protein, eaten daily, lowers blood pressure,

In a six week study of 71 young men and women, 28 grams of whey protein per day, in a beverage, significantly lowered unhealthy levels of blood pressure.

It did not change healthy blood-preassure levels.

The study, published in the International Dairy Jornal, noted that the protein is known to improve blood vessel function.

My favorite Whey protein shake is
whey to build muscle, strawberry flavor, I mix it in 6 onces of almond milk.....:yumyum:

Washington State University is smoking crack if they think that whey reduces BP.

Whey is a by product sold to health food manufacturing companies rather than being discarded. It is processed & formulated into protien shakes , drinks, bars & powders that are worthless. Whey protien has been one of the biggest scams known to the bodybuilding & fitness industry. There is no better protien than egg albumin.. i stopped throwing my $ away a long time ago... thats why the FDA doesnt sanction any of these products ..

ok, so that's your opinion... but this is not the only study showing this,
Researchers at the University of Minnesota looked at how a 20-gram supplement containing whey protein affected the blood pressure of research participants and found the same.

But I guess Nutritional biochemist Susan Fluegel that led the research is on crack...

right ?

I doubt that the years and years of research on whey protein have been under the table scams by thousands of companies. Yeah whey is a by product....doesn't make it worthless or ineffective. I highly doubt that the millions of people taking whey are doing it to lower blood pressure....so really whats the point in funding research that is biased if it doesn't do anything to strike up more business?

The fact that the FDA doesn't get involved or regulate these supplements like Whey does not make WHey a scam or ineffective, Whey has helped me when I'am on the go & at work and don't have time to have my fridge looking like 3J's thread:http://www.steroidology.com/forum/a...builders-fridge-should-look.html?highlight=3J

Bro, the FDA is being manipulated by the big drug manufactures lobbyist, Guess what ? The FDA doesn't approve many supplements that do work because if they did many of these big drug manufactures would be out of bussiness & they cannot just let that happen can they ?

Do some research on the history of food. Whey has been used for as long as cheese has been made. Whey is processed and absorbed in the lining of the stomach just like breast milk. This what makes it so valuable to athletes. It give you the ability to rapidly replace and replenish the glycogen you burn off while training.

Whey is not a scam your fool if you think that. The addition of whey to the athletes diets is one of the biggest if not the biggest advancement in modern athletics. Bigger than Steroids by far.

Never used peptopro....might look into it. I hate the taste of Casein...but its a necessary evil....I love cottage cheese at night though.
