When you guys are on cycle running test / anything , how much would you say is worth eating in one sitting before your wasting it . I still try and space my meals and eat protein throughout the day , but im sure there comes a point where some wont be synthesised if you eat too much . like if you were to wake up and eat all 300+ grams for breakfast lol . whats ur guys take on that ? id like to hear from all of you and 3J please chime in !! thx

Honestly if you don't know your body enough to know what to eat to grow then I'm sure you haven't reached the point in your physique to start taking gear, I'm not trying to be a dick but it's prolly true, but if I was you I would get a off season diet from a trainer and go from there, learn what makes you grow and what is best for you and then eventually take gear once you've reached that point... Just my opinion man. Everybody's different! Good luck tho!

I hate when ppl say that, even if you can't process that much your still consuming quality calories and in turn results in gaining size. I understand what you guys are saying tho

on cycle or not... you have to eat to grow

it's funny that "people" think you should be eating more on cycle... just eat well all the time

30-60 grams per sitting is fine

20-40g . ur body cant process more than 40g

Really? 5-6 days a week I eat one big meal. That's it for the day. Having gone from a scrawny yet fat 40 year old to a pretty stout and moderately lean 47 year old that can hold his own against the young'ns in the gym, I have to disagree.

I used to think the same thing. For about a year, I said the same thing as you, and I even ate 5-7 meals a day every day. I now look back at that time and think how silly it was. For several years now, I eat one meal a day, but that one meal typically has two pounds of meat, and 1-2 pounds of vegetables. If it's a workout day, that will include 1/2 to 1 pounds of potato or sweet potato.

So I'm getting 200g protein in one sitting, not eating again for 24 hours, and usually doing my workouts after 16-20 hours of fasting. I wonder how I keep adding muscle.

I'm sorry but that is honestly the worst diet I have ever heard of if you train hard af then there is no way you can do this, I'm sure your definition of being moderately lean is 18% bf and "hanging with youngns" prolly means the young guys that have no clue what they are doing. Not trying to be a dick or start anything but that is just a dumb nutrition tip to give anyone.

I'm happy to post pics later today. I will point out that I didn't give a nutrition tip to anyone, I was merely refuting the oft quoted bro science of the inability to use more than 40g of protein.

Holy sh*t, the ignorance in this thread is so damn high except a select few.

First off don't listen to Ojand or Slimjim, they are so new to the site and gear they have 0 idea what they are doing so imo disregard their advice COMPLETELY.

Billegitimate 1 meal per day is absolutely downright retarded, 100%.

Listen to CHINA!!! 30-60 g per meal with 6-7 meals per day.
It's proven effective, period.
Granted you base the amount of protein you eat off how your body reacts to it and how much you weigh already, numerous other factors so 30-60 is average.

Wow, never heard that before. Really corious to see how you look....

actually I read an article recently that says you can process 53grams at one time and the rest you shit
out. my 2cnts.

The broscience in this thread runs thick...

I'm in for the lols.

Isn't it interesting how everyone focuses on how much protein they consume in one meal rather than focusing on the protein intake per day?
Its even more interesting that everyone seens to be ignoring the fact that protein synthesis, and the overall utilization of protein, is dramatically increased when cycling.

Its almost as if they think getting 10g or 100g protein in one meal, or eating 1 compared to 7 meals, is actually going to make a significant difference.
Anyway - lets see how much crap comes out of this thread before I give the real answer :)

I could give a better answer than we've seen so far, but MRZ's response will be more definitive so I'd rather wait for that and learn something myself (:

Well I hate being made look like a fool but I love learning and improving my methodology so here's hoping I'm totally wrong and I will have something new to carry me to the next level of my physique!

Don't really agree with my post being ignorant what so ever, i won the overall in my very first npc show as a 20 y/o and will be competing nationally this coming year. I don't know everything about gear but if there is one thing I know it's about nutrition or maybe I just know exactly what works for me, just giving my opinion never said I knew everything.
