Clomid has a strong influence on the hypothalamohypophysial testicular axis. It stimulates the hypo-physis to release more gonadotropin so that a faster and higher re-lease of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hor-mone) occurs. This results in an elevated endogenous (body's own) testosterone level. Clomid is especially effective when the body's own testosterone production, due to the intake of anabolic/androgenic steroids, is suppressed. In most cases Clomid can normalize the tes-tosterone level and the spermatogenesis (sperm development) within 10- 14 days

While it has been claimed that Clomid "stimulates" production of LH and therefore of testosterone, in fact Clomid’s activity is achieved not by stimulation of the hypothalamus and pituitary, but by blocking their inhibition by estrogen.


If (1) is true i should take clomid during a cycle and if (2) is true i should take clomid after a cycle ? im a little confused, but want my hormone levels up as fast as possible after a cycle !

It can't work if your androgen levels are elevated.

Yep, clomid is supposed to be a weak estrogen, which binds to estrogen receptors blocking the stronger estro, I believe.

Standard Clomid therapy;
Day 1 - 300 mg
Days 2 - 11 - 100 mg/day
Days 12- 21 - 50 mg/day

is that the fastest way to raise your hormone levels again ?
is there a better way ?

Both are true. It can be used during a cycle as an anti-e, but generally isn't as there are much better options available usually. If used during you should probably use 50-100mg ED depending on your cycle. Ana and letro are better choices, nolva is very similar to clomid, clomid is just better at boosting the body's own test, nolva at stopping gyno.

It should always be used post cycle to restore natty test levels as quickly as possible.

Mudge is right, it is a weak estrogen that binds particularly well to the ER in the hypo (while nolva binds better to those in breast tissue I believe) which explains why it is better at boosting test.
