Who takes Whey Protein shake during the night?

Depends on when I go to bed.... If it's late, like 1-2am and I have to get up at 7 or so, then no I just take the one right before bed like normal. If I'm getting 9-10 hours of sleep, then I'll get one when I wake up to piss during the night. Always mix that last shake with milk though, so it absorbs at least a little slower.
 
we use whey cuz it digests fast. so best times are first thing in the morning and post/pre workout. i use a cassein/mpi/egg blend before bed.

Because having to digest throughout the night takes alot of blodd away from the recovery process that occur during sleep. But at the same time when you are filling that blood with amino acids it is keeping your body in an anabolic state. Whey protein is not the best source of protein at night but it shure is the most convient. If you are waking up to take a piss its so easy to mix a shake. Also you body's metabolism slows by 30% while you are sleeping so this will slow down the digestive process of whey and keep it in your system a little longer.:40oz:
 
I think it tastes pretty decent. I take it cuz it is a slower digesting protein that is supposed to feed your body protein throughout the night while you are sleeping.
 
Pre-bed

I'll just have whey mixed with milk or a can of tuna before bed. No waking up for me. I know whey isn't the best protein choice at night but I'm not about to go crazy buying different types for every occassion. I keep the supplements to a minimum.

funny....best avatar Ive ever seen too....

I worry too much about getting enuff sleep to wake up in the middle of the nite...I may never get back to sleep.
 
i take a protien shake and i throw glutamine in it before i hit the hay,
but i never wake up to have one,i dont think it is good for a person to do that?
