Who's run finistride amd Deca together?

so if you dont have mpb will you still lose your hair eventually???

and is there a test I can get done to find out if I carry the gene?

When we talk about people who are inclined to MPB, we are really describing individuals that may posse one or all of a couple of conditions. First, they may have a naturally higher propensity to convert test to DHT via the 5-ar pathway b/c of an overabundance of the 5-ar enzyme. Secondly, their androgen receptors, particularly in the hair follicles may have a lower binding thresholds for DHT. Finally, they might have a high ratio of velum hair follicles to terminal hair follicles. Velum follicles are far more susceptible to the effects of DHT scaring.

Now, those are the factors that contribute to one being inclined to MPB.

Here is the BIG HOWEVER - in a high enough does of androgenic substances, even people who are not inclined to MPB will experience hair loss. Remember that MPB is a condition defined by the "normal" level of androgens in the body. 1000 mg weekly of AAS is not the "normal" level and we cannot extrapolate outside our normal data points to predict what might occur with these abnormal levels of androgens.

Not really a "test" but casual observation can provide some insights - look at your family tree - both sides not just your mother's as so many claim - b/c MPB is a non-selective carried trait. It is not dominant on the Y chromosome or exclusive to the Y.

If you have a father and brothers that are balding and there are uncles on both sides that are as well, that is almost a sure bet that you'll have some inclination as mentioned above.

Again remember, that is for normal androgen levels. Not abnormal levels that we gear heads induce.

also cashout...I think you should just write up a list of steroids and hair products to use with them and we can petition the mods to make it a sticky!!! These questions get asked all the time

You are okay with var. Like Winstrol (winny), it is a DHT-reduced AAS and a very mild androgen. So, duta or fina will not interact with 5-ar AAS in any way and you will be fine with the duta for limiting the effects of the test on your hair line. Var, as long as you done get crazy - 80 - 100 mgs + daily, you'll be fine with that.

Cashout something tell's me you the fuking man. I love my hair and I love my gear I'm stuck on what to do. Daddy wants to get big and have hair. What to do. Thanks for all the info we realize your busy!

well my dad sports a combover but I dont think my uncles are bald. So I proly carry the gene but 1300mg of aas (tren/test) didnt fuck with my hair yet so im lucky..im also 31 so having hair still makes me happy....

you mentioned earlier what is my main concern....well gettin jacked and tough as fuck is the main concern here and hair is second for me

your wealth of knowledge brings alot of attention and help to us...thanks!

And I think the MPB gene is passed through the female I believe so check yo mamas side of the family cobra

not true, that is just a myth. male pattern baldness is associated with both paternal and maternal origins.
cashout pointed this out in an earlier post.

Bump from an old thread.

A quick shout out to "cashout". Thanks for explaining running Deca and Finasteride. I had just started to place an order when I thought I better research any conflicts. My prostate is slightly enlarged (50 years old) and hair was taking a beating from testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). I'm been on Propecia for 6 months and it's stopped the hair loss. My doc suggested I up the dose to 5 mg to combat the BPH.

Deca would have caused me problems! I'll stick to Test and Anavar (var).

Cashout, any idea why the first few days of Anavar (var) effect my BPH more? Low 20 mg per day dose and I feel like I'm peeing through a stirring straw. After a couple of days, no symptoms.

If hairloss is the major concern - do the test with fina/duta skip the deca.

Yup, you might be giving up a few pounds by dropping the deca but again, if hair is a big issue, gotta skip the deca.

I know, it ain't easy. Deca/test was good to me 20 years ago, but once I started to see the hair receding and I got into the clinical trials of fina, I've never run anything but test and my hairline looks like it did 20 years ago when I was in college.

Of course, I'm 40 now so being a 40 year old guy with a great head of hair is something in which I take pride. I love the compliments I get about it as much as I love the "dude, your jacked comments."

So, you can have your cake and eat it too.

Man I wish I saw that before, I'm on fin and never had a problem with test only cycles...... the deca towards the end ate away at my hair, I was wondering, does it come back in time with the help of fin? did it for you?

thanks
