OK....I started lifting seriously about 2 months ago and have not gained anything but fat... i am getting stronger.. max bench from 185 to 245 but my muscles are not any bigger and i have only gained fat in my belly and water weight from creatine. i have a very strict work out routine that i follow working out for about an hour 6 days a week. ..also now that i have put on some fat from eating so much damn steak i want to lose the fat without losing whatever little muscle mass i may have gained.. how would i do that if im eating to bulk???
any help would be appreciated

i have put on a little bit of muscle but how can i lose the belly fat while still putting on muscle?

i wouldent work out 6 days aweek .
3-4 days a week (EVERY OTHER DAY) kind of thing. and only work one mucle group per week.
eg.
monday- chest
tus- OFF
wed- shoulders, triceps
thurs- OFF
fri- biceps,abs,back
sat- OFF
sunday- legs

and each work out going 40min-1hrs.
high protein/med carb/medfat diet.

and your not gonna cut while you bulk.
i mean you could try but you wont get much of eather better to go one way and trim up a bit next spring.

I would bet it is when your eating what your eating. You need to be getting some Carbs and protein within 15 minutes of the time you stop working out. For many who take a steam bath and a shower without first getting a recovery shake with Bcaa and whey in them. They have missed the anabolic window to most efficiently refuel the resources the body needs to grow.

While bulking I work a 5 days on 2 off program I only work out a muscle group once a week. This leaves 6 days of recovery and growth.

keep in mind the 2 month isn't really long enough to get your body tuned and in the shape it needs to be in to grow well. I'd bet you over training and over eating and eating at the wrong time.

No disrespect here, but I think that's the biggest load of shit I've ever heard in my life. I really think that's the supplement industries way of preying on our community and making the most insane profits to date.

I agree 100% on the point and the reaon why people believe this fact. Justin Harris has talked a lot about this, and Ronnie and Jay used to go home and eat a meal and they did allrigth.

GREAT JOURNAL BTW!

Well the science backs my statement. There is a 15 minute window where your body will rapidly convert and replenish up to 76% of the glycogen you have just used to the muscles.

I was once well known for some of the products I designed in the past. There is no doubt that you've surly read the marketing campaigns in the past. Sorry Bro truth is truth...

Whey because it is absorbed in the stomach just like breast milk.

Justin makes my point for me. What he isn't telling you is Jay Cutler is eating at the gym before during and after his work outs and using insulin with every meal and takes his amino by injection.

Let be very clear Jay Cutler's life is very narrow. He sleeps 15 hrs a day and his whole life is consumed with Bodybuilding. He isn't a fare comparison to someone who has only been working out for 2 months. While Bodybuilding has given Jay a lot in his life those who know him know it has taken much more.

I hope you all find a better balance in your life.

Yeh i guess ill just keep training hard and see how it goes.... anyone have any info on Growth hormones/?? side effects dosage etc...

6 days a week may be your answer right there. Your probably over training and not giving your muscles any time to recover/grow. Do you sleep good? You should obviously know that your muscles grow when you sleep. I would drop your workouts to 4-5 days a week and rest in between and see if that helps. Sunday -workout Monday -off Tuesday - workout wednesday - off Thursday - workout friday - workout saturday - off... Try that and see if you get any results. I dont think your steak diet is whats holding you back or gaining all your fat.... Oh, and if you truely increased your bench from 185 to 245 naturaly in 2 months then god bless you, that is a hell of an increase in 60 days time

oh and in MYY opinion HGH is a waiste of money for the common bodybuilder. The gains you see from hgh will disapoint you, trust me. When you get to be in your 40's-50's THEN its a great tool as its not only for muscle growth, but smoother skin, mental alertness, hair growth ext. I would pick aas over HGH for gaining mass/strength any day....As for side effects of hgh, bone growth and I have heard that it increases your chances of getting diabetes

I alwasy do a pre and post anabolic meal I have found that the pre workout meal is the most important, I am stronger alone with just the pre work out meal/shake.

I think post meal is fine as long as you get it withing 45 minutes no more than an hour afterwards, you are still anabolic from the Aminos flowing through your body from the pre meal. but that does not mean you should neglect that post meal.

I just dont believe it has to be literally right after your workout.

to costly
WO 3 days a week give your self the rest time. after 6 months you'll see the gains if you are really serious in the gym. do your cardio to help witht he extra fat aswell
but if you have gained weight it is most likely mucsle

All very good points. Just an FYI- you cannot bulk and shred at the same time. Remember, this is a body transformation that most of us are trying to accomplish so their are different stages that you must pick to do. If you ARE trying to gain weight and larger muscle mass your just going to have to get use to the sides that go along with it; being some fatty tissue. However, once you feel that your big enough then you can start your shredding phase and get rid of unwanted fatty tissue. And then the process start all over again. Point being that you have to pick one or the other. You CANNOT have both at the same time (bulking and shredding).
