Can anyone tell me why it so damn expensive? If they can syntheticall produce it why is it so expensive?

just curious

GH is a protein. Proteins are much more difficult to produce and purify in high quantities than simple molecules like steroids. It's true that once you have the right set-up, it's dirt cheap to make large quantities, but the only people that have such manufacturing capabilities are the same ones who are selling it at a huge markup.

Patients, if you hold the rights to the culture you can get what you want or the value you can put on it. When they run out and others can produce it, then you have compatition which brings the price down.

simple supply and demand, plenty of people are willing to pay what they charge now. besides, legaly sold hgh is usualy paid for by some type of insurance, so the company can get whatever they want from them.

HGH is not usually covered by insurance. And if the profit margins were so high there would be more competition, driving the price down (absent regulation or patents). I don't know if it is a patentable product or not.

hgh for aids waisting is almost always paid for with some type of insurance. why else would serostim be available for $400 a kit on the black market when it costs over $1000 from teh pharmacy.

by the time ill be old enough to get something out of it, hopefully it will be cheaper..ie when it can go generic.

Hgh isnt any harder to make then insulin, both are protiens produced the same way...

That's what I was about to post. They cost the same to produce.

Like I said, once you have the set-up, it's dirt cheap to produce. But all the equipment that is required is just beyond the means of even a very well equiped UG lab.

But for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) its not. Don't know the % of use of GH aids vs HRT.....

AIDS, plain in simple, kind of like why BTG Anavar (var) is expensive, but that is slightly different
