Wider is better?? How to widen my back/lats...

inssane

The Pitbull is within...
Over the past year I have been pretty consistent with only one cycle under my belt. My back has improved a great deal over the past year.
My back has gotten alot deeper, has more shape/definition, but is lacking...
LATS!!! Where are they? I DO work them but obviously not enough, or correctly.

Every other part of my back has advanced except my lats, they have only grown a tiny bit, at least from what I can notice.

How do I get them to grow?? What do you guys do to develop your wingspan?

Let me know.
Nick

post your stats and your current workout regime. then we can tell you why your lats have not grown.

but imo deads should do the job along with pullups.

Currently:
5'7, 168, about 11% BF (started bulking)

Back routine would be appx:
wide grip lat pulldowns
close grip row
bent over rows ( hammer machine with chest pad )
shrugs
deads (not for a month or so cause of slight strain)

I know I am missing one more, but can't think of it.
All of these I do between 4-5 sets of 4-8 reps
1-2 warmup sets with 8 reps - the rest heavier with 4-6 reps

Bent over rows are my staple, 4 sets for me, I do 2-3 sets of Hammer high pulls also.

F#ck pulldowns :D

Yeah, ditch the pull downs and do weighted chinups and pullups. Do higher weight/lower reps for chinups since the portion of the lat for this motion is more fast twitch. So maybe sets of 5-6 for weighted chins and sets of 6-10 for weighted pullups.

I could go along with that, still dont like them for my biceps though if nothing else at all. I love rows to death, its one thing I'm good at comparitively and for my crappy genetics they rock.
