Work Through Bulging Discs?

Finally got the results of my MRI. It's 3 bulging discs in my thoracic spine.
I have been dealing with it and in a pretty good deal of pain for the last 8 weeks, and haven't worked out once.
pain finally seems to be subsiding a little bit and I really wanna get back in the gym. From what I understand bulging discs never heal.
Surely some of the lifters here have had this before. Did you guys work through it? Did it get worse?

A guy at my gym had it and he said he went to some physical therapist/stretch guru and stretched in all these positions constantly to alleviate the tension in his hamstrings and throughout his body and he got the disk to pop back in. Apparently he was one day away from surgery before he went the alternative route and he still stretches daily and before workouts and apparently the MRI shows it is back in and fine.

if you strart to get numbmness thats the start of nerve damage. get that fixed ASAP because its permenant. i know this for a FACT.

really hope I won't need surgery. There not hernaited yet, just bulging but Im afraid I can damage them more if I lift. I did 15 pushups today to see how it felt, and wasn't too bad but definetely felt some good pressure. And the doc said their not affecting the nerve yet, and to wait untill the pain goes away tottally to work out. Just feels like this is taking forever

well, hit the gym today for the first time in almost 3 months. Felt good but it's extremely depressing when you go from repping 275lbs to 10 reps of 95lbs lol
The back feels really weak and vulnerable, but the pain was bearable. Im just hoping I recover 100% because if I don't I'm not sure how I will ever put on any good mass ever again.
other than that feels great to at least be in the gym cause I really needed it.

I have the same problem, suffered for yrs.The only thing that helped was making my stomach muscles tight as hell.I worked my abs to death. Now still get some minor pain but made a huge difference.

I can relate for sure. You have 12 thoracic vertebrae, do you know which disc are bulging? Three disc is def not good especially at a young age. Stay away from things that will compress your spine like squats and military presses until you get healed or fixed up. Also, I'm convinced that deca did help my post surgery recovery so might not hurt to try.

sup mofo..yeah I remember when you had your surgery. How's your recovery going?
I have the results in my car, but I believe it was the T3-T4, T5-T6, and T6-T7.

Weird thing is the T4-T5 is fine but the other 3 are bulging. The report said they are indenting the thecal sac, but not compressing the nerve. Regardless It's kept me out of the gym last 3 months.
Weird thing is I didn't do anything to trigger this. One morning after a workout I just woke up in pain, and it's never went away.

how did you run the deca? I was actually debating trying 12 or so weeks of deca, it's just that if I'm gonna shut myself down, I want to be able to at least lift.
The pain is very muscular. I get a lot of spasms, and tightening, which is causing most of the pain. I wonder if deca would strengthen that up? maybe something like 500mg test, 400mg deca

I'm fully healed now, bones are fused beautifully. The doc just said hold off on powerlifting type heavy stuff and full contact mma until Jan. I ran deca 200mg week along with 250mg test. I would have run the Deca at 300mg but prolactin is an issue for me even with prami. I didn't want to run more because then I would need more test and that's like being on a full blown cycle and not even working out, but whatever helps you heal.

Yes all my pain was from muscles for years, all the pain was in my upper back. I only figured out the damage was in my neck once the pain subsided a bit and then I could feel pain from disc. Of course by then there was a terribly pinched nerve also.
