Workout Nutrition - Are You Doing it Right?

the same fuckiing discussion i had the other day. contradictory bs. i just quit answering the other day because its not worth it. he copy and pasted the part of his article said that insulin hits a peak and cant top out and in another part it said it takes 4 hours for blood sugar levels to peak from food. my question is how is a single diabetic thats recieved medical attention and survived a blood sugar drop if it takes four hours to regain levels. When altered mental status is reached from low sugar levels they are usually around 90 and considered critical, you then administer oral glucose and it should give about 100+ spike in 15 minutes. if the levels arent satisfactory you give more every 15 minutes until they are aware and have normal levels. on diabetic websites they give a list of foods for emergencies and gummy bears are on them. 12 gummy bears can give a 100 increase in about 15 minutes. after emphasizing the part he copy and pasted he argued me that eating a pack of gummies post workout wouldnt increase insulin. i said ok i stop and didnt resopond again.

I have been proved wrong on things since i joined and ive always said thanks for the updated or good info to the guys that shared it with me. And there times when ive had opposed views on random shit. But ive never seen a person want to argue and jump into conflict as much as this guy. Its almost like if he sees something is a hot topic he will find a way to argue about. lol Scouring the internet for hours to find one lone article that doesnt even state the age past medical history or even the objectives for the studies, doesnt matter its an arguement against the most common conscience of post workout meals. I mean all the pro athletes and bodybuilders have post workout meals and they are backed by billions of research and literally 100s of studies but hey they are no match for him and 1 night with google.

I laugh at the CONSTANT self glorification that he always has to do...i train people...i went to school for nutrition...i train natural bodybuilders...
or how he always starts an argument with ...you wanna do this?...or...ok lets go....< look through his old post im serious... like theres something he has to prove or establish some kind of slef rep to maintain. Low self esteem much rip?

I think youve never been to college...at most youve had a in bedroom late night google search semester ...if you trained people it was at a local anytime or it was just your young friends and you consider a trainer with no training your self....

I personally think youre a catfish trying to be cool on a forum..probably 19 years old in your parents back bedroom on a laptop your dad paid too much for because all you can do is act like a jerk using it. You attack every member with opposing views to yours. What would you say if i told you that you could accept the fact not everyone has to agree with what you say and you dont have to be a jackass? If you really are what you say, then you act rediculous for a grown adult and your self esteem issues need attention. in short YOUR ATTITUDE SUCKS.

You dont have to like me as a person to appreciate the fact that I provide valuable information to this board.
I have never pretended to be modest or anything else, I have always stated that I have a low tolerance for bullshit.

All I ask for from this board is for members to show me respect & be willing to learn. You did neither of these things.
In fact, ask the moderators, vets & other members who PM me for advice and I always try to help them - always. Why? Because they respect me and want to learn.

I will be fair & say that if a sufficient number of other members feel the same as you, then I will voluntarily leave the board and you'll never see me post here again.

bro you didn't prove anything in this thread at all, as a matter of fact you didn't even come remotely close to making a valid point.

let me summarize what you pointed out in this thread:

#1 that there is literature supporting the OP article, and if fasted there are mountains of it

#2 you posted some retarded study that doesn't prove anything nor does it support a better theory. there is a small body of literature that does not support a marked increase in LBM gain when consuming a post workout meal. not just small either, its also on old men doing aerobic exercise. it does however clearly state it is a mixed bag.

#3 you have not given a single reason why it would be better to partake in pre workout meal as opposed to fasting and using post workout nutrition. not one.

as a matter of fact you reak of everything newb, and I don't know who you had to blow to get your rep power but you sure as hell didn't do it by gaining the respect of this community with your puny 827 post's

you didn't prove a single thing in this thread, not a single thing. its clear to me you have little experience with this in the real world and are most likely just another parrot.

i know its super obvious. what kills me is that he actually thinks rep power is important! obviously or he would not have repped himself.

there is no point in looking at rep power, it is simply about the quality of one's post's and so far i haven't seen anything great.

hahahaha!!! That reference was made toward ripzilla. A catfish is someone who pretends to be someone they're not using Facebook or other social media to create false identities. I think hes no older then 21, mostly because he acts like a child while he claims he a trainer and has a masters in nutrition. He acts like hes been doing it for years which would put him minimum 30...if that's the case he has the worst case of self esteem ive ever seen for someone that age that is a college grad. Always having to pound his chest and yell how awesome (he) thinks he is. I see it as sad. The best dead give away is the fact he says he has a masters in nutrition and yet works as a trainer. A dietician can line up contracts for prisons, state and federal also nursing home schools hospitals. If they get a large enough clientele they can easily make a couple hundred thousand a year. So your telling me he dedicated 6-7 years of school just to be a personal trainer making probably 25 thousand a year? everyone know trainers don't make that much money or more people would do it. He started an argument with me because he seen me tell a person to eat beef at night time before bed because it digest slower and it doesn't cause as much insulin to be made as casein protien.......anyone that's been to school for nutrition knows beef digest slowly.

I got caught in the moment, I apologize to everyone. I don't want to give a bad impression of myself on the forum. I prefer being engaged with a more etiquette approach. I will simply ignore future circumstances I feel may have the same outcome.
 
I suppose the only thing I have to add is that I don't find intra-workout shakes practical. I'm not convinced I will see any tangible benefits even over the long term compared to just focusing on post-workout nutrition and, to a lesser degree, pre-workout nutrition.
 
So this thread deserves an expansion of thought. We have members that sell stuff here vs member who enjoys researching nutrition. Hmmm.. Can anyone tell me who I am more prone to beleive? (Sarcasm)
