yet another 5x5 question

I have a basic question about the 5x5 routine. I know the 5x5 lifts should be w/ your basic compound movements ex. squats, deads, bench, etc. It has been my experience in the past that I have had my best results with incline DB's and I have also had great results with arnold presses. I would like to utilize each of these in my routine as my core (5x5) lifts.....however considering each of these routines use dumbells the weight cannot be raised by 5lbs, but instead by 5lbs on each side meaning 10lbs.

My basic question is will this work? would I be able to start my chest day w/ a 5x5 of db incline? or my shoulder day w/ a 5x5 of arnold press.....increasing weight week by week 5lb per dumbell? or will this simply defeat the purpose?

nothing wrong with using dbells..the thing you will find is that you will plateau quicker because of the heavier weight jumps..i started delts with dbell presses as wel but getting up to th big ones was a pain in the ass to flip them in position for 5 sets..so once i plateaud i switched right over to front BB presses..

same thing with inlclines..ive been doing BB inclines 5x5..but i did start using dbells
