Your Best Natural Bench

Was chatting with a natural dude that is fairly strong and we both got to wondering what is normal without Juice. So here goes, I will start the ball rolling. I realize I got probably about the worst Genetics around, so don't be embarrased to put your real numbers down here:

What was your max bench before you got on the Juice?

Mine was 135 for 10 (I never tried to max out back then)

I lifted for many years steady and that was it, I started when I was 14, and that was when I was 26.

Mine is 2 reps with 130kgs, that's about 285lbs.

I think I will be able to get up to 300lbs naturally though:)

P.S. This subject is very sensitive to bullshit... Everybody exaggerates their maximum lifts and bodyweight and such...

I was a mid 300 bencher maybe a little more when i was about 21. 300 at 16. Just started again, and hit 400x2 wiht no juice in a year and change. Would have broken 400 years ago, if somone showed me how to bench properly.

i only care where my shirted bench goes..
if my raw benched never moves out of the 3's but my shirt is 6-700 im as happy as a pig in shit..

i realize this wont happen but a strong raw is not indicative of a strong shirt bench and since shirts are allowed in comp that is what i care about :)

strike that.
this will soon become a "dick bigger" contest, and i dont want to deal with it nor be involved.

Really dont want to see people who are full of shit start posting, and then try and call me out like i am lying.

Mine is 290. Im only 19 though and still all natural. Its gone down some since I could do that over summer. I can still do 205 for 10 reps right now. Ive never tried any shirts or anything, but Im kinda interested in what I could do with those.

The perfect picture to sum up your plight my friend.....

Actually on a serious note. How do you guys feel about rep calculators as far as being accurate, especially on bench...?

perfect pic.

as far as rep calculators.. they are reasonable. It is different for everyone though, some people have more power oriented muscles then endurance, and vice versa.

so if you have lots of power and not much stamina, your max rep may be more then it would say it would if you used your 10 rep max.
get me?

nothing wrong with a rep calculator..

however there is a big difference between what a rep chart says and what you may actually be able to do..personally i feel that your max is not some weight the chart spits out but the actual heaviest weight you have done whther its for 3 reps or 1

i would use it as a guide and try to test your max one day and see if its a good indicator

yup. see what your rep calc says, the try a weight 10 or so lbs lighter. IF you hit it, cool. if it was easy, go up.
Better then guestimating and getting pinned like a hoe. that shit hurts the feelings.

Its seems fairly accurate with most things I try it on, as well as my other buddies that have tried it. True though, it at least gives you a good estimate of where your max is compared to guesstimation.

I am shocked for sure. All the posts here for natural lifts are bigger than any I have seen at the gym period, and I was thinking the juice runs free over there. I am not incinuating that anyone is lying though for sure. Even though I do get the feeling that no one that was a weak little wimp, as I was, is willing to post their numbers

Most anyone I ever talked to personally had a 1 rep max between about 170 and 225 natural. And typically doubled it within a year of being on the juice. I can finally do 275 for 1, and on every other major movement my margin of strength gain has been even better on the good stuff, so even though I am still not real strong, I am pretty happy percentage wise and still working on going up.

Remember this is not the sampling of a gym, it is a sampling of a few countries. I benched 170 when i was 14, i think i hit 185 at 14. I don't know anyone who worked out with me in HS, that did not bench 300 when they went on to college if they kept lifting.

i did 2 small cycles a while ago, haven't used any Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) for about 3 years( so I guess I am almost natural).I had a year or so off due to a back injury, then slowly started lifting again.
Now I am training smarter, harder and heavier than I ever did on the gear. With any luck I will break 400 by the end of the year

if you have a 225 bench natty and then you juice for a year very doubtlful you gonna have a 450 bench after a year. or 170-340. that would be very rare. folks who havent juiced for some reason think Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) is a magic potion or something. take it and grow. it aint like that. take it, eat right, lift heavy weight and tou will grow faster but not anywhere near 2x. 10-15% advantage maybe. food is the best ananbolic out there, bar none.
