Your first cycle -- comments from friends/family and dealing with it?

Hey Brothers.

My shoulders and traps are exploding, strength has gone up and weight definitely increased. I'm making gains.

Anyhow, my concern is that family who saw the before/after me... I saw my parents a few weeks before I kicked off, and I'll see them again, late in the cycle at Easter. I'm still holding water which thickens me out more, and I've padded some fat on with the lean mass too. In other words my body is noticeably different.

My concern is that people who see the before/after me will make it akward with comments. I ran into someone yesterday who seemed kind of stunned. That made it really akward. I kind of think "cross this bridge when you get to it", but yesterday just was uncomfortable as hell.

Further I have gotten some weird stares in the gym. I'm probably just paranoid and extra sensitive these days, but I keep catching people glancing at me in the mirror who never used to do that.

I don't like lying, but I think I might just say "I've been training in the gym day and night, eating like crazy" which is true, but an incomplete part of the story.

I am just fearful of attracting more commentary and would rather fly under the radar.

Hints/tips/ideas ?

Fuck I hate feeling like I did something "wrong" just for controlling my own body.

Just tell them you've been eating like crazy and have your diet dialed in and you've been hitting the gym like crazy! It's not a lie. Most people will never suspect AAS usage. And those who do will keep quiet till they get you alone. Then the MIRIN starts. They'll be like " hey bro, nice gains, whatcha on?" But you lie to them too!

Well first and foremost you are not lying to them if you say you have its all from diet and exercise, list oout the food that you eat and most people will be -- jeepers- no wonder you are growing. Steroids are not what make you grow, your diet , rest and exercise are the factors, steroids mainly aid in the nutrient shuttling and recuperation, etc so in essence your telling the truth and 99% of people will not ask about supplementation so omitting it is not lyiing..

How old are you? Because you should be enjoying the commentaries as it is validation and not being fearful of them, you are your own person and if you still need to validate or answer to someone about your own body then you shouldn't have started. Don't over think it man, just enjoy it with the knowledge that you are doing something right if people are talking

Id say your over thinking it a bit bro but i know how you feel i did my first cycle last year and i was lucky because it was winter so i walked around everywhere with a hoody and trackys on but i was banging this chick before i started then around 10 weeks in the cycle i got with her again and she was shocked how much i changed and she was telling people this as well, one of my good mates knew i was on so he just told them i was training real hard and my diet was crazy he also said i was using a natural test booster and they all believed him and that was that haha.
Just buy a few otc supplements and post a few things on facebook about how dedicated to training you are and and the majority of people wont even think your using.

I'm sure it isn't just me, but everything the OP said he is noticing that he doesn't like or is uncomfortable with is what a lot of us want to hear.

Yes, I want to see people looking at me out the corner of my eye at gym like I'm some muscle bound fucking freak and they have lately as I start to pack on more size.

When my family saw me, they all commented on how big I got. Old friends. Girls. Girls that turned you down but are now crawling up your ass because your staunch.

Yes, I want people to be stunned when they see me out biger compared to when they saw me 6 months ago. That look on their face, the wow or the shocked or the whatever is fuel to the fire. It's what keeps us going.

My 2c anyway lol :beertoast

Hell man tha shit u r dreading is tha shit I work hard and love to hear. Most people have no idea what it takes to get in shape so if u broke down just a few days to them of what u do ( diet ,meal planning and prep), mico, macro ,protein intake, cardio, weight training and on and on. Then say that's in one day. I been doin that for months! It'll b hard for most to doubt exept jealous people. They r gonna talk shit but fuck em

Respectfully-fuck them. ( Not your family..specially female members OK ?)

But..I mean...damn it boy .

Drop size or f em.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

For what it's worth I'm 31 years old.

I do enjoy a nice comment or two, but it's probably a bit of me worrying too much.

A glance is okay. But when it feels like a woman is eye fucking me head to toe over and over it's just akward, because, in mixed company the next question is "how did you get so large". And it felt like that (eye fucking). Like the eyes just could not scanning me up and down

Yeah, social networking, man. Everyone posts about their mad training on Facebook. The a lot of people do it because they think posting that they did it means they don't actually have to do it. Some people do it because they know it will put pressure on them to actually get to the gym. Some people do it because they know the gains they are making are too small for people to notice without a Facebook reminder to have a compliment ready. Some do it because they think their friends care, or that women are lying when they say they find shredded muscles gross...And then there are the guys that use it to prepare people for a big gain in mass so it's not such a big deal when they see you in the flesh.
Then again, ANY significant gain, natty or otherwise, will always draw the "You on the 'roids?" comments from your mates. The only thing that's gonna give you away is how you react to that. Just tell them you're glad somebody finally noticed because you were worried you weren't growing.
