a good diet is one you can stick with and that is effective for your body.

You'll lose your abs, actually they'll be covered by a layer of fat as you start gaining weight, because your abs are not that big in the first place, so they'll cover up pretty easy.

But dont eat until your stomach hurts and dont eat if you feel uncomfortable. That's not necessary and just unhealthy. You're still young, you can get away with eating regular food, you dont need to eat ALL CHICKEN AND TUNA every 3hours. You'll gain your weight in time, drop the ego at the gym, dont mind that you're lifting small weights, and train each body part once per week. Dont get into the whole high school every-day-bench-routine.

No shit, that's just a gross diet that I'd probably get real sick of real quick. The whole point is to eat the food you ENJOY eating and that's also GOOD for your body. No need to torture yourself and eat until you feel uncomfortable or eat so much that you end up getting fat.
 
Breakfast (following workout) - Oatmeal and protein drink w/dextrose
2 hours later - six eggs (yoke if you like) and protein (chicken, fish, steak)
2 hours later - chicken/tuna with carbs
2 hours later - chicken/tuna with carbs (sweet potato for carb source...in your case any tater will do or any type rice)
2 hours later - chicken/tuna with carbs
2 hours later - chicken/tuna with carbs
2 hours later - chicken/tuna with carbs

Before you go to bed eat a bowl of cornflakes and at midnight get up and eat a couple turkey sandwiches.

I didnt post this diet. I eat alot more veges.

My normal day of eating looks like this.

6:00 cup of oatmeal-cup of egg beaters-2 tablespoons PB
9:00 whole wheat bagel-Cup of cottage cheese Fat free- 1/2 cup berries
12:00 large sweet potatoe-7 ounces turkey breast-1 cup broccolie
3:00 protein bar ( pure protien )
6:00 10 ounce lean sirlion steak-2 mix salad- 2 TBS fat free dressing

This kid seems to be quite clued up for his age then after showing that level of smarts comes on Roidology and wonders why people are talking about roids?!?! seems abit sus to me bet that aint even the kid sendin the posts, might be the Law seeing who's gonna try push gear on a minor!!! Hmmmmmmm?

ahhhh is this for real? i haven't been on in a while,,,, but hey, if your 16,, shouldn't you be stealing booze from your parents liquor cabinet and smoking weed??? that's what i did at 16,,,,???

If your serious,,, you've got a long ways to go, but let nature take it's course, keep learning and trying out diff. workouts and eat eat eat. You'll be a tank someday!!!

From previous experience with the feds on forums, I would have to agree with you 100%.
 
Find a trainer who is NASM certified with a CPT and PES. The majority of time (however not always) a person with BOTH of these credentials has a decent idea of program design. At your age it is important you learn proper form and program design as to not carry bad training habits that may injure you when you get older.

tjc you sound like a nice lad and switched on and your passion will take you every were you want to go! jus be patiant i dont think your to young to train but just dont concern yourself with huge gains! i have a friend who started when he was 16 and he just spent until he was 18 developing good shape and defanition! when he reached 18 then started to naturally bulk heavy weights and big eating and the solid base he built just blew up and he looked awsome for his age! jus be patiant take your time enjoy the training and look after your body

you have a good attitude and it will pay off when you're older.

but i think at your age over training is very easily done. i would only do to 2 workouts per week and do not train a single body part more than once per week.
don't beat yourself up about slow gains and constantly be thinking i'm not working out enough because of what the pros do.

you're probably at the most stressful time of your life. this i think is the main reason teenagers are small despite their high testosterone levels. seek to get plenty of rest and keep stress down because stress is catabolic.
