He's testing for Blood in your urine. It textbook proper procedure. Urologist deal with Kidney stones all day every day.
So, I'm just back from my appointment with the urologist - and I am pleasantly surprised with how positive and progressive he was...
Regarding the urine sample, he was checking for diabetes - I tested negative
So, going forward, I am being sent for more blood tests, mainly to rule a couple of things out before commencing treatment.
He wants to check my prolactin levels as well as a test which will show any prostate defects or brain tumours...
If I test ok for these two things - he is then going to start me on Testosterone injections to bring up my levels again... he did state he would be aiming for 15 (our range is from 9 up to 38 or something, so I thought 15 was quite a low target personally?)
He is also willing to prescribe me high dosages of viagra too (although I'm going to try and persuade him to change this to Cialis for the added health benefits if I can)
I know for a fact that he will start me on low dosages of Test initially - are there any tricks of the trade to keep my levels lower on blood testing so that he ups the dosage? Bear in mind, Doctor's in the UK are notorious for the low levels of Test that they are willing to prescribe!
Any input or help with this matter would be greatly appreciated - and also any thoughts as to what I need to ask on my next visit - ie: prescription of an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) or similar to go along with the Test...?
