Hello,

I am new on this forum. Here is little something about me:
41 yrs old
5'7"
150lbs
15%BF
Many years of lifting experience.
Virgin as for as AAS, PH or anything hormonal.
Goal: Around 165lbs with 10%BF and strength increase.

Component / Standard Range / Your Value
TESTOSTERONE (ESOTERIX) / 145 ng/dL / 348 - 1197
FREE TESTO (ESOTERIX) / 19 pg/mL / 52 - 280
% FREE TESTO (ESOTERIX) / 1.3% / 1.5 - 3.2

I went to PCP, tested low and doc referred to urologist. Not sure what my TRT dose will be yet. I will find out in couple days when doc teaches me to self inject. then Rx for 3 months, bloodwork & follow up appointment and then Rx for 3 more months supply, bloodwork....etc.....

I've heard that newbie gains are the best....especially AAS newbie gains Since I will start TRT in couple days, should I invest in some extra Test for 8 weeks and then go back to TRT dose? Or should I get dialed in first, then bump up Test?

Thanks you. I am open to suggestions.

Nope. Just do TRT for now. Wait to get dialed in and wait until you see your doctor no more frequently than twice a year.

Have you read the Basic TRT Overview Sticky thread at the top of this forum yet?

Thanks for your input. So far, everyone that I've asked said to get dialed first. So thats what I will do. I am sure I will see major gains when my test levels are normal.

I've almost finish reading the TRT stickies. I'll save my questions until I am done reading it.

get dialed in first.. this could take months to do.. once youre dialed in you can consider doing a blast..

i was on trt for a year before i did my first blast..

I just started TRT in June - My Total T before TRT was ~170 (Yes, very low)

I've been lifting for years and was in good shape before TRT.

Keep in mind that your body will TAKE TIME to adjust to TRT depending on how long you were low T. I was low T for about 10 years, and am just now starting to feel better (energy, sex drive, mental fog starting to lift, but still an issue). If you research the topic, must low T issues take 6-12 months to let up once on TRT.

I really didn't notice much difference in muscle tone / physique until I fixed my diet by becoming a client of 3J. i'm on the 3J's carb cycling program and am dropping body fat like a rock.

You should see a decent (albeit gradual) increase in body composition just from going from 145ng/dl up to eugonadal levels anyhow. Body fat will drop, you'll gain a little LBM.. glycogen increase. You'll both look and feel a LOT better just on TRT. I noticed a pretty dramatic effect after about 3months on TRT and my levels weren't as low as yours.

Thanks for advice. I'll continue to build a better solid base while on TRT. Who knows, I may not need to blast if I am happy with progress.

Never mind. Doc decided not to treat my TRT. My BW with urologist, 195, 245 & last one was 355. urologist said 355 is the lowest normal and do 1 more bloodwork in 1 month at 8am and take from there. I've been hearing horror stories about low T and doc not treating but I thought those were simply hear say, but now I know its the truth.

So find a different doc or go to a TRT clinic. I want to use insurance because I pay for it and why not use it. I've only found 1 TRT clinic that takes insurance in my area, but they don't allow self injections and will not go above 600 test level.

I am frustrated and may self administer TRT. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Based on your trend your TT might come back around 500 next time. Maybe you are getting better and don't need TRT.

Have you discussed trying an HPTA Restart with you doc?
