Well no worries on all the BS posts because it got me thinking it was BS and so I started looking for what was wrong.
This turned out to be a clerical error, compounded by some bad doctoring in my opinion and some mis-communication.
The short story is my test submission had me marked a female and the ranges on my report were wrong. Remember I said two doctors looked at my test completely independently -- well they both didn't notice that my actual number 520 was fine, and the ranges on the report were wrong. What you say? 520? Why did he say 5,200? Well this was the mis-communication. The first doctor didn't give me my number, just said 5x normal (more like 7x from their range though). When I asked the second doctor he said 520 and I said that sounded normal, and he said the units were different on the test and it was really like 5,200.
Anyway when I went into the office I looked at the paper briefly and just focused on the number 520 versus the range 11-76 and didn't pay attention to the units. The free test was also way out of range so I just kind of accepted it and besides I had two doctor's saying I was fucked. I didn't request the paperwork to take home with me (should have though).
Over the last day or two I was starting to think hmm 5200 test is just crazy. Even if I had some crazy cancer it wouldn't be that high from the research I had done. I started to think about the 520 number again, so I went to the Labcorp website to see how they reported the results and it was in ng/dl which got me confused. The 76 high range number was burned into my head though and for some reason I thought to myself hey maybe they think I'm a girl. So I looked the Labcorp site again and low and behold that is the upper range for a woman on their test.
I was like MOTHERFUCKER! Anyway I called the office and said I wanted to see the paperwork immediately. I went down there to look and sure enough my test result says "Sex: F" at the top. Doctor wasn't in and good thing too cuz I would have beat him down in front of his patients.
Incidentally, my 2nd T testhad just come in which they gave to me and it came back and showed a 657 T (with a male range of 241-827) and Free T in the middle of the range. My DHEA was a little above range which I attribute to some light Creatine use.
So thanks for all the BS posts because it made me think. And the moral is, get the paperwork and question everything the Docs say.
