Alcohol on cycle

From several threads i have seen it looks like having the quiet drink or 2/3/4 is ok every week/fortnight/month.

What DOESNT come up is what would do the LEAST damage?

beer?

spirits?

wine?

If you guys have a drink on the weekend while on cycle or trying to bulk up what do you guys drink???

IMHO the lower the alcohol content the better. When I drink, I drink light beer for lower calories and moderate alcohol content. Stay away from malt liquor, anything fruity or sugary. You're trying to bulk, not get fat. Not to mention alcohol decreases protein synthesis, so you're doing yourself a disservice. If you drink, make sure its very moderate. Getting trashed is just furthering damage to your liver, as well as hurting your potential gains. I lift M/W/F, so really the only night I'd drink is Saturday night. That way I'm not headed to the gym the next day hungover and feeling like dog shit, as well as I'm not drinking on a lift day, when your body needs nutrients the most.
 
I agree with the above guys but I'm probably not the best example. If there's a party goin on, I'm going all out. But it's not like it's every weekend. Ill go hard once every 4-8 weeks but every weekend or so i'll have a few beers..nothing major
 
I made a commitment... no drinking until cycle is over.. my cycle ends this year..


just dont drink!

if its ur first cycle..DONT DRINK....

I think the consensus is clear....don't drink. Alcohol is alcohol is alcohol. I might have a drink once every 3-4 months. I just don't have the desire though when I'm training and that just happens to be year round.
 
YESSS VODKA is the trick, i only drink on saturdays, and i used to drink about 10-15 beers on a sat night, well i could never get my lower abs to come through, but i loved to go out on sat nights and drink at the bars, its what i do. sooo.. i switched to vodka only, that limited my consumption to ab 3-6 drinks, vodka and sprite 3/4 vodka. what do you know, two weeks later my abs were plated top to bottom, and i was actually leaner. Its all about CALORIES and not to mention beer has yeast in it. So there you have it folks, I drink every sat night, I'm 5'9 200 pounds with a six pack.
 
Beer is best. Tonight I had about 4 Michelob Ultras and 2 Screwdrivers with a chica. Moderation is key. Just dont over do it and dont do it to often.....

I dont drink often... like yeah given ill have 1 or 2 here an there, when i have a craving. BUT, i maybe go out 1-2 times a month. so me drinking is a rarity. but when i do drink. Jack Daniels or Johnny Walker(sp?) and good ol' Miller Lite is my choice. sad thing is.... with how much ive stopped drinking... i can still out drink everyone :(, but i have a little bit of a drinking problem, kind of why i dont drink anymore :/
 
i have wonder about this for a while !!! good question mate ive been told the same thing by other people so moderation is the key and not too many! vodka over beer ! i dont drink as much as i use too thats for sure !! but the whole year have dedicated myself to my training and had a few drinks here an their 2-4 when out and dont mind it !!! i think for what you put its hard fuckin work !!! why blow it on hammering your self !!! waste of time an money but still at the same time dont be a boring sode haha
 
it wont kill you if you have a few drinks now and then. thats what i stick to and im fine.
moderation is the key
