Alternating bulk and cut dieting..?

A mate of mine suggested this to me. Something he's been doing and allarently had good results with. Curious if anyone else does this or if theres any fact behind it.
Told me to eat at a bulk for 7days... Then eat at a cut for 14 days. And continously alternate between the two in that fashion.

Is it worth doing? Im on a test e/tren a cycle... 6weeks in, so far 5 of those have been cutting and i did do one week of bulking. Ive gone up in size and weight and im looking much leaner than i ever have.

It sounds like your friend is doing one of two possible things wrong. Either his caloric surplus is too high during his bulking, or his caloric deficit is too small when he's cutting. There's no way you should spend twice as much time cutting as bulking. 6-8 weeks bulking and then 2-4 weeks cutting is a better way to go, in my opinion.

Your never going to get the same results trying to do 2 things at the same time - especially when there complete opposites. Pick one (bulk/cut) and go all out, since your on cycle I'd recommened bulking and taking full advantage of it.
I've had clients try and do both, does it work to an extent? Yes, but you will achieve the results 2x quicker if you just separate your bulk and cut phases.

If you're on enough tren for long enough you'll recomp eating approximately maintenance calories, assuming decent training, rest and proper macros.

That diet idea sounds hokey.

0/10 would not do.

All this is doing is taking longer bulk and cut cycles and shortening them up dramatically...in effect a recomp. As stated results on this will be slower but if you need to maintain leanness for whatever reason it may suit you better. Unless your job requires you to stay lean I'd skip it and just do standard bulk followed by a cut.
