Anavar cycle question - Newbie

Hi there,

I am totally new to this kind of forums and I need a little advice.

I have been training with a new trainer for about 5 weeks now, after not training at all for almost 2 years. Training with him twice a week and once or twice by myself, 30-45 minutes of cardio. I've been reading for a week on Anavar - he suggested I'd take some for 4 to 6 weeks to boost my results. I am dieting 3 meals, 2 snacks a day, low carb, lots of veggies and lean meat. I am 26, 5'10 and 140 lbs. My training goal at this point is to loose the little tummy fat I gained over those two years of not training bc of a hectic life - really, it's not much but I'm just not used to see myself like that!

My trainer has done competition in the past so I feel like he probably knows what he's talking about re: AAS… for men anyways, but I'm a woman and hence questionning what he suggested according to what I've read in the past week…

He suggested I'd start off right at 20mg p. day, he doesn't suggest any phase in like I've read in most forums I've consulted before posting here - keep this same dose for the 4-6 week period then phase out over a week. I never took anything like that - or any pills at all while training - I got good results but never close to what I'd like now... so I'd like to have a few views from other women here. My goal is not competition, rather to have kick ass abs (well kick ass body over all anyways!) like I used to - or even better!

Thanks for your help!

PS: If you have any other suggestions (other than Anavar, they would also be appreciated!)

EDIT:
As I'm reading other posts, I thought I'd post my diet as well:

Morning:
3-5 strawberries (raw, no sugar), 10 almonds, 4-6oz of orange juice (tropicana)
500 ml water or sometimes coffee, 1 multi-vitamin (Centrum)

Snack
2oz of cheddar cheese
Handful of carrots (usually) or sometimes celery
500 ml water

Lunch
Salad with 6 oz canned tuna or grilled chicken breast, home made dressing (olive oil, pepper, and balsamic vinegar)
Or
Home made vegetable soup (1.5 cups) & canned tuna
500 ml of water

Snack
1 fruit or 1 yougurt
10 almonds or a handful of cashews
500 ml of water

Dinner
Either 2 egg omlet with cheese and ham
Or
8oz of chicken or white fish, usually oven cooked and 1 cup of brocoli with a little butter
About 1l of water throughout the evening

If I train that day, I'll drink about another litre of water during my 60-75 minutes training. I train after work, before dinner.

I'm strict during week-days but I'll allow myself out of that during week-ends, like I'll have a pasta meal for dinner or a nice big breakfast with eggs benedict for brunch on a Sunday morning, for instance… But I'll keep the base and if I know I'll eat a lot for dinner (or if I ate a lot at brunch), then I'll cut on snacks.

well i know that to high for a start point for a female. it should more like 5mg ed but wait for a female to step in Blondi or Miss Muscle are great for this info.

thats pretty high. Im no expert here but i wanted to try anavar before and did alot of research. They usually say to start at 5 mg . Some ppl say to not even go above 15. In my opinion 20mg would be too high.

get a new trainer. if that jackass is suggesting AAS after only 5 weeks back he is totally dependent on the drugs and obviously ain't worth a shit IMO.

That may sound harsh, but you can have great results without Anavar. Esp if your looking to lose fat. Hell, he prolly told you Anavar burns fat, in which case he needs to punch himself in the mouth. And 20mg a day? What a stupidass!! 5mg will yield tremendous results for a woman. 20mg is dangerously close to virilization effects with Var, which I know you don't want.

But you don't need any drugs girl. Get on a good meal plan designed to lose fat and a resistance plan to keep your muscles tight and at your height, you'll be banging in no time. Ready for the beach.

Fuck i hate trainers like that. :D

Lol RJH - thanks!

I am indeed looking to loose stomach fat (I have maybe 5-6 lbs overall to loose to feel good about myself) and looking for more definition than what I got about 3 years ago - especially abs definition.

Help with meal plan then, maybe? I posted what I eat up there as an edit to my original post.

:-D

I'm gonna defer the diet portion to the gals and the boys who love diets and such. Theyll be around today and help eval your diet.

But do urself a favor and steer clear of that asshat!!

Your trainer is a jackass and I suggest you get a new trainer as well. To suggest using AAS after 5 weeks is assanine.

And 20 mg of anavar a day. This guy is a fucking idiot. No offense.

Your diet is not that great. Eat 5-6 times daily. Each time you eat include a lean protein. Also include a healthy fat/healthy carb source. You can do both or one depending on your goals. Fruit and dairy....many people use these in moderation due to water retention and the sugar in both. Just a couple servings of fruit/dairy daily. Drink your water throughout the day....at least 2.5-3 litres.

Let us know how many calories you are eating. At 140 pounds you could lose weight on 1800-2200 calories daily. Many people go to 1300-1600 calories right away. It's pointless....wait until you plateau before you decrease calories.

Revise your diet and we'll nitpick more. Keep training and if you do decide to keep your trainer tell him it's stupid to suggest using steroids at such an early stage of training and you want to do without.

Hey MM!

Thanks for the advice! I'll still stick with him for a while - I've pre paid my membership, it's a small gym, not overcrowded like most big gyms where I live so I kinda like that - and it's modern, brand new equipment as well. I have an appointment tonight, if he mentions, I'll just tell him I've decided to go without since I had good results without before. As I am reading on AAS, the less I am convinced I ever want to take any risk at all.

I've seen the diet section and I'm going to work on tweeking that tonight and I'll re-post in a new thread for some help :)

Good to hear!

Wow you gotta seriously consider a new trainer. Any trainer that would suggest that is seriously screwed up. I wouldnt care if you were training for 10 years thats just something that should not be suggested by a trainer IMO. Its something that if interested in should be your decision and solely your decision.

Good idea, your already in good shape. Wait and see what you can do naturally before adding in any AAS.
