Anavar for shoulder surgery revovery

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum. I had rotator cuff surgery 4 weeks ago. Recovery is going well so far, but in an effort to go above and beyond I made a visit to an anti-aging clinic. The nurse practitioner running the clinic that day told me he had torn and had his rotator cuff surgically repaired also. He said the thing that helped him the most was anavar. According to him, it is great for the joints and connective tissue. He really peaked my interest, but of course was unable to prescribe it, so he wrote a script for sermorelin. Has anyone had any experience with anavar used for recovery from surgery?

Just so you know, you cannot take Anavar by itself if you are a male. It will shut down your testosterone production. Males need Testosterone.

I am not saying it will help your shoulder though. I don't have personal experience.

I had this same discussion with a friend only last week who has a hip problem. He's had surgery twice and wants to get back into the gym, continue swimming etc. for rehab. He has no intentions of getting big, he has a much more athletic physique (in the past anyway, it has suffered over the last six months or so) and just wants to be fit and active again. He did some reading about Anavar for the recovery process of injuries. IMO, and as per my recommendations to him, I said to jump on a TRT for 12-16 weeks, maybe a little higher dose of testosterone to increase protein synthesis and assist in the creation of new muscle tissue or at least repair damaged tissue. At that dose, 30mg daily of Anavar couldn't hurt. It is of course given to AIDS/HIV patients to enable new tissue growth/prevent the loss of muscle tissue and can be utilised without a break for a lengthy period of time due to minimal affects as far as hepatic toxicity.

As others have stated, anavar alone is a big no no as a male. Stacking deca and eq together with a small amount of gowth has dramatically sped the recovery of my surgeries (with of course a test base) . Obviously dose dependant based on your previous cycle history...

The increased collagen synthesis from the deca, along with the increase in the thickness of the synovial fluid is a big help, combine that with the cross linking capabilities of the eq and you have a good match. With the enhanced levels of growth hormone and IF1 in the simplest of terms, everything will speed up a little bit, and you should have a bit of increased pump and feel good getting back into the gym.

Assuming you have done nothing beforehand, I would never reccomend to just jump into a cycle of that sort however. You would have to learn how your body responds to each substance first, how to manage e2, prolactin and progesterone from the 19 nor if something is a bit haywire... a lot of different things.

Any more background information

This is the reason I was hesitant to recommend my friend use deca. He is inexperienced.

I didn't have to get surgery, but I injured my shoulder(few minor tears) back in January and I ran test, npp, var, and tb500 and just from the physical therapy workouts my shoulders were Fucking jacked and I felt great after the first month of therapy. I finished all 3 months, but I certainly didn't need to. I didn't run the compounds because of that, it just so happened that I injured myself right after I began them so I just continued on with it. Hope this helps.

Oh and brother.......You have to know what you're doing first. Do your homework. Learn about every compound inside and out. Learn about cycles and what they do to your body in every single aspect, as well as your mind. Research pct, and aromitase enzymes/inhibitors, and blood tests, abd normal hormonal function for your age. Read read read, then decide. Good luck.

Thanks for the info everyone. Lots of valuable info here. A little background on me.. I'm a 34 y/o male. 6ft, 175 lbs with an athletic build. I workout 6 days a week and have done so regularly for the past 14 years. I eat clean and balanced meals 5 days a week and loosen up a bit on the weekends. I have never taken an anabolic steroid.

At the anti aging clinic they did check my test.. My overall level was 380, but I had low free test and a high shbg. The same nurse prac that was telling me about the anavar, said he would like to start me on TRT once I am healed from this surgery. He said it could complicate things if I started now. Could there be benefits of starting TRT now?

You need a full blood work up done. We need to see what your hormones look like. You can't tell by just looking at your TT. We also need to know your medical history.

The values from this recent blood test are as follows:

IGF-1 - 133 ng/ml
Estradiol 26 pg/ml
Testosterone 380 ng/dl
SHBG 96 nmol/L
Free test 3.5 ng/DL

Nothing of note in my medical history, except this recent shoulder surgery. Luckily I've stayed pretty healthy. Am I missing values on this blood work that I need to get next time?

Your high SHBG is contributing to your low Free T. It might be helpful to get a full Thyroid Panel as that can affect your SHBG and Total Testosterone levels.
