Anyone else bad at deadlifts but good at squats and bench press?

If find that my deadlifts is very weak compared to my other two big lifts. I train all my body parts as hard as eachother yet my deadlift is always lacking. Why is this so?

Hard to say. everyone is differnet. I think most people would probably say "form" as the reason. It can be very technical. Or it may just be a physical issue with your body.
I know that me personally, I have lower back issues stemming from way back. I do great at squats and everything else, but deadlifts kill my lower back.

Then your doing them wrong and not activating your glutes and hammies

Deads should be higher than squats. I'm betting you have a hip issue, where getting out of the hole is very difficult. Try widening your stance and see if that helps. :)

Agree with the hip issue in that I think your hips are starting to move first and get to high coming out of the hole. Wider stance or sumo stance will help with this. Could also be that your quads are weak, try implementing some front squats to your leg day or even trap bar deadlifts, both helped me pull out of the hole better.

I never pull out.

yeah i always squat higher than deadlifts. I think its weak grip/forearms rather than a hip issue

I always train with perfect form. Its my grip that always makes me drop the weight

Judging from your posts, it is clear you know very little about what you are doing, which is fine since you are asking for help. But, you most certainly do not have perfect form. If you are dropping the weight on a deadlift you should be doing over-under grip or use straps.

If your back is taking all the grunt you either have really weak glutes or your form is terrible. Usually its a combination of the two. Contrary to what was posted earlier, quad strength rarely is a limiter on deadlift, and since your squats are higher you are probably overly strong on quads.

Of the third and equally likely problem is you don't squat very low. It's easy to have a high squat if you ROM is 6 inches.

Agree, if your squat is higher than your deads you probably are quad dominant and your form is bad so disregard my previous post.

I suck at deadlifts, always lacked the explosiveness required to get out of the hole. But, it's still slightly higher than my squat(by 10lbs, lol)

Squat 385lbs
Deads 395lbs
Bench 315lbs

5'5"/165lbs

If you gain more weight your lifts will go up if that is your goal

Form definately plays a factor in lifts. There are a ton of youtube vids that can help with that. Check out some powerlifting deadlift vids. Ive helped guys increase bench 20lbs just by making an adjustment on grip and foot position in a single session. Same goes for deadlifts, A simple stance adjustment can gain 20-30lbs.
