Anyone have experience with keto diet?

Loaded Gun

Work In Progress
Im going to start a cycle once I get my body fat down some... I started the keto diet, been on for about 4 days... I did some research but could only find a few sites with decent information and some of it varies slightly from one to the next. I have gotten the keto test strips that test for presence of ketones in urine. Well, they say it takes 2 days to have a positive for ketones... but only saw the positive today, but it was on the second color... I checked in the morning and at night. Morning negative, this evening it was positive..... so now I should see some major fat loss?
Does anyone know what I can expect from here?
Im doing some cardio in the morning before I eat.

Average Daily Calories Eaten

Thats my average breakdown for the last week. But I did take in a lot more carbs before I switched my diet. Now Im taking less than 30g carbs per day. Im going to skip the first carb up day. Hoping to lose at least 10 lbs in 3 or 4 weeks.

Keto strips are inaccurate. Don't waiste ur time.

Ur carbs are too high. What do those carbs consist of and when are u having them? Spell out ur diet for me and ill tell u what ur doing wrong. Also a bmr tdee would help

1: 3-4 eggs, 4-5 strips low sodium bacon, 2-4 oz. cheddar cheese
2: 8-12 oz. chicken breast, 2-4 oz. cheddar cheese
3: 8-12 oz. chicken breast, 2-4 oz. cheddar cheese
4: 1 can tuna in olive oil
5: 1 cup cottage cheese

Post workout: ON whey, high protein milk

Following breakdown varies somewhat depending on how much of the varying quantities provided:

Grams Calories %-Cals
Calories 2,605
Fat 156.4 1,398 54 %
Saturated 69.3 618 24 %
Polyunsaturated 13.1 117 5 %
Monounsaturated 59.1 529 20 %
Carbohydrate 40.9 161 6 %
Dietary Fiber 2.3
Protein 248.0 1,043 40 %
Alcohol 0.0 0 0 %

BMR: 1950
TDEE: 3020

This is basic for what I eat, it has been this way for the past 5 days... previous to that I had been consuming a lot of carbs (rice, bread, noodles, cereal, oatmeal...) Im kinda getting sick of eating, like losing my appetite and only want to eat when Im hungry, not so much on schedule but I try to keep to it best I can.

I dont think its safe to run AS cycle while on this diet as lipid levels will be elevated then further elevated but do you know about taking T3 and/or clenbuterol along with this diet?

I went Keto once and did not like the lack of energy I had at all times. It was VERY effective but be ready to feel like garbage.

first it was 100g carbs and now its 40g?? lol

u should be ok for keto but your lacking heavily on efas.. get rid of that cheese and replace it with efa's like almonds, almond butter, natty peanut butter, cashews, olive oil.. etc.. google that crap

Ok, will do... but I am supplementing with flaxseed oil... thanks.

Current supplements: Arginine/Citrulline, Creatine, AAKG, Beta Alanine, HMB, MSM, Taurine, Potassium, Chromium Picolinate, Multi-V, Whey Protein, and Flaxseed Oil.

Peanut butter gives your bowel movements that peanut butter texture.

Hey 3J.... How goes it my brother!!! Long time no talk. Just thought I'd jump over hear give a shout out bro! Hope life is being good to ya!

3J... You know how it goes bro... The outfit I was working with before had decided that they didn't want to pay for advertising anymore because this site had already generated a ton of great traffic to me and they figured id just feed off of that. So, as I've been in the process of launching "MAXIMUS HRT" for the last few months, I got some "wings" and got off the ground last week and wanted to come back to the spot and roll with the people that helped grow my business to what it is today. Keep up the good work, chief!

Keep it up! I had really great results on a keto diet myself, but put some of it back on during my traditional summer fun. BBQ's/Beers etc.

The first week or so is very tough, if you're going from a high carb intake to next to nothing expect some headaches/weakness, and some super shits as the body adjusts. Once you get into a solid state of keto you'll start to feel much better and your appetite will really diminish as your body starts to feed on itself. My eating schedule before keto was horrible. No breakfast, sometimes a quick lunch, and a massive dinner. Getting into keto actually helped my energy because being in keto gave my body a steady amount of fuel.

One thing you might consider cutting out is milk. I love that stuff, but there's too many carbs from all the sugar in it.

Also, you might research going super low carb. For me it was easier to track what was OK and what wasn't. It was a simple yes or no. Don't forget the veggies either, and you should look into some type of fiber supp to help with the super greasy almost diarrhea like bowl movements that were a constant.

Most days I stayed under 20g of carbs, and that came from mostly the sugerfree gum I would chew throughout the day.

Keto works well. You'll lose weight very quickly if you really stay on it. However, make sure you have a diet ready to maintain your losses. I really didn't and some of it came back rather quickly, which is why I'm here at this site now.

Keep on it, and keep us posted. I'll be subbing.

Cyclical. So far Ive lost 7 lbs. I think thats a healthy rate of loss. Other than avoiding carbs/sugars and eating anything high in protein/fat, I only cook with EVOO. I have recently lowered my intake of cheeses and incorporated some: natural peanut butter, avocado, almond butter, salad (sometimes during the week). These are my basic guidelines when making food choices. I also drink primarily water or decaf iced tea (artificial sweetener).

I have no problem getting back into ketosis after the refeed... in fact, I take in lesser than recommended carbs... maybe thats why...
