..but in all fairness, different strokes for different folks and some have different reasons for using gear or different goals.
It's not ideal to cut after a bulking cycle so IMHO most would want to hit maint cal's (to include the newly added mass) and maintain during the "off" cycle, while lifting very heavy and decreasing volume... then once the "off" period is complete, they can run a cutter to help preserve the muscle while trimming the fat..

dido.. I think this works really well, you build your strength up quick in the first part of the cycle and then once strength is up and you have some good gains, lean out the diet and finish off the cycle nice and trim....nothing worse the finishing up a cycle overweight...pyscologically it can destroy your positive thinking.
