ive been going through shoulder injury for a long time now, clicking shoulders, impingement, rounded shoulders (that im working on).

my shoulders don't seem to be (touch wood) that much of a bother now as i keep my shoulders back and shoulder blades squeezed together, ive actually managed light shoulder work outs! but ive since developed pain in the areas marked on the photo, this week caused from chest mainly i believe.

this isn't just an ache if i touch it myself or get someone else to its proper painful

any ideas on how i can avoid or preferably fix this problem?

please ignore my b-acne, thats another problem, problem isn't from steroids as i haven't taken them

i also noticed after the photo the mis-alignment of my shoulders? it seems pretty drastic and i cant be certain it isn't jut how i was stood at the time

thanks

May wanna check out a good chiropractor. I got a massotherapist/chiropractor that helps me out from time to time.

Your posterior deltoid is giving you fits - you probably do way to many pressing exercises,, I'm guessing your shoulder burns out and fails on bench press before your chest does.

You could have a shoulder imbalance as well.. Grip a pencil in each hand, Stand relaxed,, if the pencils are pointing more towards each other instead of straight out,, then you have an imbalance..
That can happen if bench press has been your go to exercise in the gym over the years.

The posterior deltoid may be getting over trained as well.. It's a pain to deal with and chest days are gonna be a bitch, and you'll find your chest lagging behind

Have you tried taking a week or 2 off from lifting or at least from anything that involves the shoulder? Then, when you start lifting again, really focus on light weight and how your shoulder is reacting to that.

My hands to point more towards each other than straight, my shoulders are seriously under developed and on chest day my front felt takes quite a beating too. I think a lot is my own fault for ignorance when I was younger and despite the shoulder problem would continue to train everything else.

I want to fix it though and in reference to the second comment I have been out for a good 6 months untill recent focusing on resting and recovering the shoulder and they themselves have improved a lot

What, if anything, could you recommend I do??

Thanks for the response

If you get on you tube and search "training shoulders with bands" "strengthen rotator cuff with bands"
You'll see some good exercises to help you out
