Been on TRT for 9 months, thinking of going off

I have been on TRT for 9 months and am looking to go off for a bit and see where I end up naturally for a bit. The doc has a post cycle plan which costs a bit of cash. In your opinion what are the drawbacks of just going off without post cycle?
 
Did you go on TRT because you are hypogonadal? If yes, are you Primary or Secondary?

Have you been using hCG for the 9 months that you have been on TRT? If so, please provide your protocol.
 
I was on trt for a couple years ,, I went off completely with no PCT or anything for 6 months just to 'clean' my receptors and system out . Be prepared for severe brain fog, lack of concentration , low energy, and your wife will probably leave you cause you'll never want to have sex with her again until you get back on (even if she is hot and horny as fuck like my wife, you just won't care about sex at all) .. (oh yeah , and you'll probably lose a good 20 pounds of muscle mass) .

have fun with that ;)

Over the years had a loss of sex drive, loss of energy and overall a lack of wanting to complete or start projects type of mood. The TRT definitely fixed that issue but now I have an increase in anxiety and wake at night which was not present prior to TRT and is why I want to test the theory of it possibly being related to TRT. Results below. First column is prior, second at 6 weeks, third at 3 mo, fourth 9 mo.

Can you explain why he wasn't hypogonadal?? The first row of numbers were lower than the low range.
This is my first post and I have recently started TRT. I have spent many hours reading up and educating myself on as much as I can.

To be Hypogonadal TT by definition needs to be below 300ng/dl.

Give the Basic TRT Overview sticky thread a read. It will help you start putting the pieces together
 
A piece of advice for you. Dont do it. And forget you even thought about this idea. You are going to feel like shit whether you come off and PCT or not but, without PCT your chances of recovering are almost non existant. Even with PCT you might not recover.

Aside from that. Even if you do recover its a safe bet to say all the symptoms you were having prior to TRT will return. To what degree? Tht depends on how well you recover, if you do.

I wouldnt say your anxiety is related to this. Anxiety, if there ever was any, SHOULD be less. Talk to your doctor about you anxiety and sleep issues and go from there. I would strongly suggest NOT coming off TRT though. I am a firm believer than once it is started it should not be stopped.

Interesting. Ya I am not sure why but the anxiety and sleep issues started roughly 1 month after starting TRT. I don't see anything in the blood results that would contribute do you? Can you expand on your experience on why to not come off?

I say not to come off because I tried once. I was on much longer than you were but, it was a disater and something I will never think about doing again.

The thing is, people will get on TRT (not saying this is you but maybe it is) and eventually start to feel great. They say 'hey, Im better now, I think I can come off.' Well, the only reason why you feel better is because youre on TRT. TRT doesnt fix a damaged system. Even though yours wasnt totally screwed to begin with, certainly not optimal though. It is something that needs to be taken forever IMHO because it IS the system now.

One thing that could possibly be causing your anxiety is the fact your TT really isnt all that great still. Its only only a few points higher than it was before you started your TRT protocol.

What is you is your TRT protocol? Everything included.
 
What is your TRT protocol? I am curious because your TT is basically where it was at pre-TRT.

You can try coming off now but it is most likely that your natural levels will be worse than they were before since you have suppressed your HPTA for 9 months. And your testicles will have atrophied due to not using hCG. At best, you can hope to get to your previous pre-TRT levels unless you have corrected the underlying problem somehow. But coming off without PCT would be reckless. I don't know why you would skiop this when the medications are so cheap (hCG, Clomid and Nolva).
 
Your Hematocrit is already on the high end .. anytime I start having anxiety issues, and strangely related is 'claustrophobia' issues,, I go and donate blood . For some reason for me when my blood gets thick I start having anxiety, sleep problems, and similar 'stress' issues .

not sure about you ,, but just something that I notice in regards to myself (this usually only happens after running a long cycle of compounds though and not just TRT .. but again your Hematocrit is already on the high end)

Thanks for mentioning the hematocrit. I saw that too but forgot to post about it. He really needs to get in an do a blood donation to lower his hematocrit!

60mg x2 week Cyp. DHEA, Pregnenolone, Fish Oil, Vit D and a multi.

I asked the doc why it dropped from 698 to 456 with nothing changed. He said it was because I tested one day later this time. So this time (456) was 4 days after shot, prior to shot, the (698) was 3 days after shot prior to shot. Can it really drop 240 points in one day?

Now that is interesting! I did go in to donate last week but they put me off asking for a script from my doc since I'm on TRT. Any advice on that?

TRT is not a reason for deferment. Nor do you have too disclose that you are on TRT. Just answer the questions they ask and don't volunteer irrelevant information (i.e. TRT).
 
You feel like crap because your trough is too low. Something else is wonky because at E3.5D injects, you shouldn't even really have much of a trough. I suspect you're on a protocol where he's trying to keep you off an AI.

I'd honestly bump up that testosterone dose BEFORE dropping TRT. In fact, you're kind of paying to essentially be at test levels roughly where you were naturally. I actually suspected you were on gels based on your levels to be honest. :p
