Yo there,
What should training with weights look like when you`re on a cutting diet?, right now i`m on a bulking diet and train heavy with 4 - 6 reps for 6 weeks and then do 2 weeks light 10 - 15 reps.
My training right now :
mon: Chest + tri
tue: Legs + abs
wed: off
Thu : shoulders trapz calves
fri: back + bi
sat off
sun off

I`m going to keep the same training and adding cardio wed + sat in the morning and on monday and thu i`ll train after weights,
Does it sounds ok?
My main question, is how intense do i need to train with weights and what about rep range?
Thanks in advance,

they way i do it, granted i have a different lifting schedule then you, but one week i do 5 sets, 5 reps on all exersizes.. the next week i do 3 sets, 15 reps...i seem to be gaining lean mass pretty nicely...

I dont change much when dieting. I figure its heavy weights that got me the mass, so heavy weights will help me keep it. So the first half of my workout is still heavy 5-6 reps, the last half is lighter 8-10 reps

Well, considering that I'm not the greatest dieter in the world, my cutting phases usually don't look that much different from my bulking ones. That being said, when I do cut, I really don't change my workout at all. I still push myself as hard and heavy as I can, and try to keep my strength going up, albeit at a slower pace. My workouts really don't change except that I just can't progress at the same rate as I can when bulking. Like Needsize said, heavy weights get you the mass, and heavy weights will help you to keep it.
