Ok, so I'm done with Red Cross. They are the most unprofessional, unorganized group I have ever had to deal with. My question is this. Is there a place available that I can buy my own supplies to take out a pint every two months. I have someone with the know how, I just need the supplies. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can buy a phlebotomy kit, but when you order you need to submit an RN license number. Does your friend have a license

18 gauge needle into the syringe body duct taped to small turkey baster or into funnel into a Pyrex measuring cup over a drop bucket ???

jkng.

No she does not. Damn. I really don't want to go back to Red Cross. It's obvious everybody there hates their job and not happy to be there. At least today it was like that.

I love the gals at mine. Maybe you should go to a different location? I'm open to doing some pretty dumb things, but self-phlebotomy isn't one of them. (I have taken courses on how to do it too)

T just About right, not sure why the tie off thing. I just drain out into a quart jar half way up

looks like a guy can buy butterfly syringes pretty easy, just like getting a 3cc. I googled it, lots of sellers

But would it drain at a decent rate especially with the thicker blood with high hct ? Seems to me I'd need some kind of bac or suction.

I'm going to do some more intense searching in the next day or two when I have more time. I'm going to look into this. Thanks
