Can you overtrain on AAS?

So obviously overtraining is possible, juice or not. But is lets say an hour in a half to 2 hours too much? Let's assume nutrition is on point as well. I have spoken with many guys who still feel that overtraining is still very prominent even if you take AAS while others huge guys I see in the gym (lean 250lbs+) train for hours on end. Of course you kind of wonder what crazy cycles those guys are running as well, being some of them are pro bbers. Whats your guyses thoughts on this?

Now you see guys at 250lbs that train for hours and on the other side u see smaller(skinny) guys that say less is more. Now seriously...is it necessary to ask the question who is right?Overtraining is a myth.If you eat at least 1.5g of protein/lbs and get your healthy fats and clean complex carbs and eat 6-8meals per day, overtraining is very hardly to occur.Especially if you'r on gear.Leave the muscles at least 3-4 days off before hitting it again directly.I train with very high volume. For example yesterday hit quads in the morning at 27-28 sets(only quads) then calves, hams and hams on the afternoon.Today i hit delts at 31 sets total(all 3 heads) in around 60-65mins.And im not small.Im currently standing at 245lbs very lean.Of course im not saying to stay at the gym for 3 hours straight.

Depends on a few aspects of your training. To answer your question yes you can over train on AAS. I wouldn't recomend going heavy, 1-3 rep range, for each excercise for 2 hours. You'll eventually get injured after overtraining, if not first.

I agree, good thread.

I know for me when I'm on cycle my body wants to and can handle quite a bit more training than when I'm off cycle. As you know, on cycle, the muscles repair so much faster that I can almost train 5-6 days a week without any fatigue. Granted, I usually take at least 2 days off/week to ensure proper muscle growth but I think even if I didn't as long as I'm on cycle I would probably be fine..

Well do bis twice a week and kill them and do everything else once a week. See what grows more. It won't be your bis. Bis are so overly trained.

I go 40-50 minutes tops while ON Cycle and 15-25 OFF Cycle.

ON Cycle every set I do is to failure and every rep like it's my last. The longest I ever rest is 90 seconds on a heavy compound movement.

Remember every person has a genetic ratio of red vs white muscle fibers. This means a guy like me that responds to high intensity/ low volume session and make his best gains. A guy like Max Payne performing 31 sets of delts would overtrain me me no matter how much juice, food and sleep I managed......my gains would fall OFF, my strength would diminish and injury would fallow.

OFF Cycle is another world where overtraining is easy to do and using hard earned muscle for energy is was my failure during post cycle therapy (pct) and HTPA recovery for cycle after cycle. Once I mastered the "walk in, hit 3 sets, walk out" training sessions OFF Cycle I kept good % of gains.

Every guy has a "sweet spot". Set down the ego, dismiss what anyone guy states here and listen to your body.

Agree Well Said! I used to be in the gym 2 hours a day 6 days a week now that I am older I cant even handle half that. No more than 45 min to an hour is tops for me

That. I train on instinct. I can tell when my muscles are trashed. Develop that mind muscle connection bro, know your body.

Generally high volume is the route I go, with short rest periods, and lots of drop-sets. As long as I eat, I grow, on or off cycle, but that's just me.

I agree. I feel if I train for only an hour or less, I don't get te same feeling that I really had a good workout. It also boosts my appetite and I go home and gorge down white rice and chicken.
