DC training question

hey I got a quick question about this training. Lets say I did my bicepts on Friday and didnt feel a big pump as I would usually get so by Sat night im not sore anymore and I would probably be 100% ready by Monday but the thing is that monday is chest so what can I do to lightly stimulate my bi's so I dont overtrain and be ready for it again by Wed. I can't just leave it alone because I dont want it to start shrinking a little bit. thanks

You will not start shrinking over the weekend. Just because the muslce doesn't feel sore anymore, that doesn't mean it isn't still repairing itself nad growing.

If you look at the splits, you will see you hit bi's on some "chest" days anyway. Rack chins, lat pulldowns, standard chins....all hit the bi's to some degree.

Damn straight...

but I know for a fact that I didnt train as hard as I usually do so I didnt get the FULL pump I would normally get, thats why I wanted to make up for it by lifting bi's again real light before Wed.

You will most likely overtrain them, how many years you been lifting and how long on this program?...

ive been on this program for about a month, and ive been lifting for 3-4 years but I really learned how to train and eat right about 8-9 months ago

Then there is no reason to rush it, one month is nothing on this program and you still need to figure out your recouperation ability on this program...

Pump doesn NOT = growth... You get a forearm pump from riding your bike down the street... To many pro cyclists have huge forearms?

you squatting and dealifting too? and golgo is right, a pump is probably one of the worst ways to determine success in terms of lifting. the only way to measure gains is by weight on the bar, and how your clothes fit :)... what is your split like?

^^ is true, I think we have all had those workouts were the pump wasn't there, but it's not about how u feel, I about how much progress you've made

So much of it is in the mind, and the drive to build and achieve if miscalculated is often the main barrier in the way of success. You let the miscalculation interfer and your gains suffer- look at Ego for example, if not left at the door it oftens equates to a heavier weight than can be handled performed badly; same with overtraining. You think you aren't growing, think you'll grow twice as fast by putting twice as much time in...and you go backwards. You have to beat the mindset, have some patience. Then after the patience, after the diet, and the backbreaking routines...you can have the juice :~)
