On my deadlifts I find it suits me better if between reps I stand up and take a few breaths then go down and lift, then repeat the process for however many reps I want. It jsut seems like I can get set up better and "tighter" than if I just breath when I am in the bottom position and try to start the rep from there.

Is this ok or do I need to start trying to pull continous never letting my hands off of the bar until I am done type stlye? that style just feels awkward and feels like it pus alot of pressure on my lower back whenever I start the lift that way.

Resetting each rep is best. If you are taking more than a second or two rest though then it may be considered as 'rest-pause'. Not that it matters, if it's working for you keep it up.

Of course you like it better, its MUCH easier that way. Try resting after each bench rep, I bet you'l like that better too.

I dont know what your goals are, but you will not find many BBers taking long rests, if any, between reps. If you are a PLer than you are in the right place :spin:

yeah but you wont see bber's doing all out shit heavy dl's either.reset is how i do mine.pull then set the bar down and regrip then pull again not really a rest just reset.it seems easier to me to come down hit the floor and go right back up.when you reset it's kinda like a pause press to me.
